Sneek into a living room and mud room inspired by the sense of calm that comes from wandering the streets of Greece. Soft blues, warm off-whites and layered taupes come together with tactile textures, patterns and natural materials to create a space that feels collected, serene and quietly sophisticated. Still to come: the custom bookcase + bar and those final layers of accessories that will bring the entire room together ® -living Wallure to Flure | Wall Coverings & Rugs

Treasured my time with Cindy Allen at the Interior Design Magazine offices✨Cindy congratulations on 25 remarkable years as Editor in Chief of Interior Design Magazine. Your vision has shaped and inspired our entire industry! Back in 2018 it was an honor that you chose my basket for DIFFA’s Picnic by Design. What a fun night! I won a Studio McGee Edalyn faucet at Kohler Appreciation Night at HAVEN Riverfront Restaurant in Edgewater, NJ. 🎉

A big thank you to Jon from Kohler, Jen VanHoven, Paramus Ferguson showroom manager, and Monica Flynn, my fave Ferguson rep! It’s always a joy to spend an evening with the people who help bring our projects to life. Now the fun part: deciding which project this beauty goes into first or maybe my own kitchen 😀 Kohler Ferguson Home McGee & Co. ̇nteriorarchitecture ®

“I like them to look, think and then look again.” I love this quote by Donald Judd. I recently saw his artwork at Dlabeano which someone would say it looks like a box but it holds a presence that demands engagement. His objects claims space around it. As you circle the boxes, your position changes what you feel. Time and space are not fixed. They’re made, and you’re the one making them.

Judd inspires how I design. I think about how people move and breathe through a space, from a ceiling design to staircase to a built in, so a home feels connected and lived in with real impact ®

“I love my space now. I love my home.” This client testimonial is everything. Because great design isn’t just creating a beautiful home. It’s about creating a home you love living in, love entertaining in and can’t wait to share with others. And when your client says she trusted you, felt wowed by the result and had FUN along the way? That’s the best kind of testimonial ® ̇nteriorarchitecture

Part 3 minimal details- The best lighting is the lighting you don’t see.

One of my favorite hidden details is the concealed LED lighting beneath the stair platform. Once the platform is wrapped in stone, you won’t see where the light is coming from. It will simply appear to float.

That soft glow will draw your eye up toward the dramatic double height window, while the stepped risers add depth and dimension.

It’s these quiet, almost invisible details that make the architecture feel special ® ̇nteriorarchitecture

A door that’s designed to disappear.

A jib door sits flush with the wall, eliminating bulky trim and visual clutter. We are still under construction but the walls are being prepared for these types of doors.

Why do I love them? Because great design isn’t always about what you add. Sometimes, it’s about what you make disappear.

Quiet. Seamless. Intentional.

Part 1 The detail that elevates modern walls…
The Flush Base! If traditional casings and baseboards aren’t your style, a minimal flush transition between walls and floors creates a clean, modern look. But don’t be fooled by its simplicity…this is a detail that has to be provided and takes real precision for a builder to get right ®

Exhale. Isn’t that the feeling you want for your home?

A home should elevate the way you live, not just look good in photos. That is the difference between a floor plan and a space that was designed around your rituals, your experiences, your exhale. Here at MAD, we design planning, architectural detailing and interior design together. Book a consultation in my bio above.

Our tour guide geologist daughter led us to some awe inspiring sites in Yellowstone on Day 3!

1- The lower waterfall of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone was mesmerizing. We caught a rainbow!

2- The Mud Volcano was a reminder that Yellowstone is alive beneath our feet. The bubbling mud and steaming earth is all powered by its volcanic system.

3- The hike to Trout Lake was well worth it, leading to a peaceful lake surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.

4- Bison! We couldn’t find them for 2 days until we got to the plains. It was wild lol!

5- Calcite Springs Overlook was breathtaking. The Yellowstone River cuts thru the canyon. I especially loved the basalt columns on the upper level of the canyon walls. They formed when lava cooled and cracked into geometric pillars over millions of years ago!
