If you know anything about us, you know we love a pastry and you know we love a throw down. So, naturally it's time for the Arterial Apple C***r Donut THROW DOWN! 🍎 🍩

Who better to officiate than Arterial's very own Snack Queen, Landscape Architect Breana Parian! 👑 And who better to join the fun than special guest judge, Landscape Forms Senior Sales Rep Michelle Hertzler!

This time, we kept things simple with a blind taste test. Everyone knew they were sampling apple c***r donuts, but nobody knew where each donut came from until all the votes were cast. 🗳️ The contestants included:

🍎 Abma's Farm in Wyckoff
🍎 Applegate Farm in Montclair
🍎 Dreyer Farms in Cranford
🍎 Stew Leonard's

And the winner is... A TIE between Applegate Farm and Stew Leonard's! We called in Executive Assistant Naomi Knies to break the tie, and she crowned Stew Leonard's the winner of the 2026 Apple C***r Donut Throw Down! 🏆

Congrats to our champion and thanks to everyone who participated in this highly scientific taste test. 👨‍🔬

The stars were out in full force last week for the gala event of the season! 🤩 One final thank you to New Jersey Future for recognizing Audible's The Pillars in the City of Newark, NJ with a 2026 Smart Growth Award! 🏆

The transformation of 33 Washington Street reimagined 15,000 SF of downtown space as a vibrant retail and community hub, supporting local entrepreneurs, activating Newark’s Arts and Education District, and bringing commerce and culture together. 🤝 It’s a great example of how design and investment can help strengthen the urban fabric and create new opportunities for the surrounding community.

We'll always have Paris... 🗼

Today, we're pleased to share the next installment in our "Places That Inspire" series, brought to you by Arterial Landscape Architect Breana Parian, who visited the City of Lights last month and came home with some timeless inspo. 🌃

There's just something about Paris that begs you to explore. To soak in your surroundings. To linger. Is it the countless cafés on every corner? The laid back lifestyle? Maybe it's the fact that one of the world's most beloved cities still has something to teach us about the pedestrian experience. 🚶‍♀️ About human-scaled urban design. About creating inviting spaces that make you want to stay awhile and interact with the environment and with those around you.

Maybe we're being a little romantic, but what can we say? We get a little misty eyed about landscape architecture. 🥲 Paris, je t'aime. 🧡

Congratulations once again to The Pillars by Audible in the City of Newark, NJ, which will be receiving a 2026 Smart Growth Award TONIGHT at The Newark Museum of Art, so if you'll be in attendance, be sure to go experience it for yourself before or after the event!

Thank you so much to New Jersey Future for recognizing this project! 🙏 This award is a testament to all the work that went into transforming 33 Washington Street into a 15,000 SF retail and community hub.

Wildlife hate this one minty trick! 🌿

It's time for another "Species Spotlight," with the goal of introducing you to a variety of plants that are not only native to New Jersey, but that you might find incorporated into some of our projects across the State! 👩‍🌾

Meet Mountain Mint! 👋 Pycnanthemum muticum is a great choice for walkways, as it offers a nice peppermint fragrance when brushed against. Alternatively, it can be used along borders to resist against deer and other wildlife, as they do not like the minty smell! 🦌

Last month, Arterial Junior Urban Designer Nicole Vuono was invited to tour the Landscape Forms HQ in Kalamazoo by our friends at Aristeia Metro!

Not only did we get to see where the magic happens, it was also a great chance to preview and test out some of their beautiful outdoor furniture throughout the factory grounds. 🛝

Thank you so much for the invite! Maybe you'll even spot one of these elements in an upcoming Arterial project! 🕵️‍♀️
