All good things must come to an end...even . 😞 Established in 1956 and promoted by the League of American Bicyclists, National Bike Month provides a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling and encourage more folks to get out there and give it a try. 🚲

For our final project highlight, we're getting up close and personal with some of the bicycle infrastructure at Connell Park aka The Park.NJ in Berkeley Heights! 🕵️‍♂️ Working with The Connell Company, Arterial developed a landscape master plan that transformed the traditional 180-acre office park into a connected, mixed-use destination now described as New Jersey’s first “work resort.” A major focus of the plan was enhancing walkability and multimodal connectivity through an integrated network of walking and jogging trails, renovated streets, plazas, parks, and pedestrian gathering spaces that tie the campus together. 🚴‍♂️🌳

Arterial also played a key role in designing the site’s , incorporating buffered , bike boxes, bike parking, and coordination with the campus’ branded bike share program to encourage active transportation across the property. Combined with outdoor co-work areas, fitness amenities, flexible recreation spaces, and improved public realm design, the project creates a healthier, more connected campus experience centered on wellness and mobility. 🧘‍♀️

It's World Bee Day! 🐝

It’s important to remember that are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat, yet their populations continue to decline due to habitat loss and pesticide use. Native plants play a critical role because pollinators and have evolved together over time, creating the food sources and habitats that bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators depend on to survive. 🦋🌼

At Arterial, we're committed to incorporating native vegetation into our projects whenever possible, helping to create landscapes that support and strengthen ecosystems for both people and pollinators. 🌿

Two cities. Two dramatically different approaches to waterfront development. 🌊 Both New York and Hong Kong are balancing public access, density, commercial pressures, and urban identity in distinct ways. Through projects along each city’s shoreline, let's explore how , , and connectivity shape the relationship between people and the water while revealing the tradeoffs each city makes in building at the edge.

They say "Trenton Makes, the World Takes." 🏭 Well, hopefully this project can give a little back to our State Capital. Today, we're sharing a site plan and renderings of a project that's chock full of great ... the South Broad Street Streetscape Re-Design in the City of Trenton NJ!

Arterial is collaborating with Dynamic Traffic and Mercer County, New Jersey on the transformation of South Broad Street in with a shared vision to revitalize one of the City’s most historic corridors. More than just an infrastructure upgrade, the project aims to create a safer, more inviting environment through upgraded traffic signals and intersections, new ADA-compliant ramps and crossings, enhanced mid-block crossing and plaza spaces, enhanced sidewalks, bike facilities, pedestrian amenities, street trees, and placemaking features that support long-term revitalization. ✨

Set against the backdrop of Trenton’s rich industrial legacy, evident in landmarks like Roebling Market and Millyard Park, the redesign supports the reactivation of this corridor while celebrating the City’s unique history. 🏭

Don your mouse ears, because in our latest edition of our award-winning series "Places That Inspire" we're headed to "The Most Magical Place on Earth"! 🐭

Arterial Junior Urban Designer Nicole Vuono recently visited Walt Disney World's Riviera Resort at EPCOT and was struck by some of the park's more inspired design elements from its seating to its thoughtfully designed plazas and public spaces. ✨

If you've been to , what's your opinion of its elements? Magical? Or uninspired? 💭

A new chapter is beginning for one of Newark’s most iconic landmarks. 🏰 Originally constructed in the 1930s as part of Branch Brook Park’s expansion, the castle-like tower at Salvatore Bontempo Memorial Park has long served as a visual landmark and gathering space in the City’s North Ward and still anchors the surrounding neighborhood decades later.

The City of Newark, NJ - City Hall recently broke ground on the long-awaited renovation of Sal Bontempo Park in partnership with the Bloomfield Avenue Lower Broadway Alliance, blending with climate resilience and modern public space design. Arterial was originally engaged by the Bloomfield Avenue BID several years ago to develop the park’s vision and initial design, centered around strategies such as rain gardens, permeable surfaces, expanded tree canopy, and planting systems designed to manage stormwater while creating a more inviting and functional park for the community. 🌳

The Pequanock Water Tower is a memorial to the mayor who gave Newark safer drinking water, and now at the center of a $1.2 million makeover of a surrounding park.
