The Advanced Team worked overtime this week. Sometimes you have to work 7 days straight. We worked with the carpenter in this situation. They installed 22 new windows with new 6 inch window casing, new closets in all the bedrooms, completely renovated bathroom and kitchen. They closed off walls, and had the floors refinished.
My team went thru about 10 gallons of plaster, 20 tubes of caulk, 8 gallons of primer, and roughly 20 gallons of paint.
First Matt handled the plaster repairs, then primed everything top to bottom. Miles of caulking all that large trim. 2 coats of flat white on ceilings, and 2 proper coats on all trim, doors, and walls.
We have a new trainee, Toshon. And Im teaching him the all the basics and starting him where I started 20 some years ago, in the closet lol. If he can proficientley paint closets and improve brush control, he can be a painter-bot like Matt and I. My philosophy when training is focus on quality first, ask questions, and when you have free time watch the lead painter, and how he produces both quality and speed. Get good, then get fast and good.
There are 2 rooms left to do. The sunroom and kitchen. HVAC has to do what they do. And we will be back to finish Wednesday. But first, a well-deserved 2 days off.
Whoever rents this place will be very comfortable.

This has been a challenging year for me. I was rear ended in my car on the highway about 2 months ago. And crazy enough, was involved an another equally, if not worse car accident because someone thought it would be fun to cut in fromt of me from oncoming traffic to get into their driveway. It was devistating. I started physical therapy because I was injured. Naturally, it's my right neck and shoulder are in constant pain. Which I need to paint. I'm so lucky to have the team handling the hard stuff while I recover. And here are the results of teamwork.
Let me know how the Advanced Team can make your home brighter and happier. Happy homes, and happy people, makes us happy painters.
