Hey everyone, straight from the owner at Jerusalem Auto Locksmith — transparency time! I always tell people:

Before thinking our prices are "high" for a key fob + programming and laser cutting the high security emergency keys (which looks simple but isn't), call your dealership and get their quote for the same job.
I did exactly that for a real customer with a 2011 Audi Q5 (using a matching VIN from online to double-check typical costs), and the dealership's numbers blew my mind.

Dealer quote:
Key fob: $606
Emergency key blade: $179
Programming: service 1 hour at $265/hour = $265

Dealers also requires the customer to pay in advance and in person.

Total: Around $1,050 (plus taxes, possible towing, and waiting days for parts/appointment).
