Since it was mentioned in another group here on Facebook, I guess it’s time to make the announcement on what’s happening with my business, Associated Appliance on Hope St.
Below is the copy and pasted response I just made there.
Thank you everyone. Sometimes God has a different plan.
Here’s what we are doing-
Most of our customers buy from us over the phone, use our website for guidance, and may stop in for further guidance and/ or chat in person. That will NOT change but will be different. We will have Kimberly M. Colletto’s brother Andy a few doors up at Mohawk Kitchens to meet with you in person, and you can always call me directly.
We are moving our parts and service business to a second location in Monroe, just 1/10 of a mile north of our current location there (which will remain as is). We will have a large parts department (and be able to run parts down to Stamford as needed), and a full complete repair shop.
Upstairs, we will have an outlet store with incredible deals on scratch and dent appliances, all with full warranties, same as new boxed goods (brand new “boxed goods still available online or by stopping in at Mohawk and seeing Andy, - or of course calling me).
We will also have great deals on mattresses built right here in Connecticut (I’m still sleeping comfortably on mine from about 15 years ago).
And super deals on factory refurbished Samsung TVs (many which were bought and returned unopened but have to be labeled as refurbished) all with factory warranties.
This is bittersweet for me. This year is the 100th anniversary of my grandfather’s entry into the appliance business in 1924, 48 years for me personally.
I’ve lived in Trumbull since 2002 and my new commute will be 7 1/2 miles backroads, no more 4:45am alarm clock.
That said, my heart is always in Stamford.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your patronage, trust, kindness and your friendship.
For the most part a lot will not change as far as doing business. We will still be doing service, and delivering to the Stamford and surrounding area.
God Bless you all,
Dave
