Happy Spring! I’ve been busy in the garden. Let’s talk mulch. 4 inches is the minimum, only use natural cedar as well. Top dress an inch every year. Keep mulch away from trees and shrubs so it’s not touching the stems and trunks. Keep graft on tree trunks 6 inches above soil/mulch so the root stock doesn’t take over trees. This is especially important for any cherry trees. Any questions, please ask!
