The electrical panel in this Woodinville home was inside a bedroom closet, behind the clothes.
Panels aren't allowed in clothes closets, and beyond code it's a practical problem. You need clear working space in front of a panel and you need to reach it fast in an emergency. Neither works when it's buried behind a hanging rod.
We moved it outside, extended every circuit to the new location, and reconnected the whole thing to exceed standards.
If your panel is in a closet, a cabinet, or somewhere you'd have to dig to reach it, that's worth a conversation.
