After nearly 30 years in construction, I’ve learned that building something the right way takes patience.

You don’t always see the finished product right away. You have to start with a strong foundation, take your time, fix what needs fixing, and trust the process.

I’ve found that life and business work the same way. Building Noma Construction has taught me that the things worth being proud of don’t happen overnight. They take hard work, consistency, and showing up even when things get difficult.

That’s a mindset I try to carry with me every day, both in my work and at home with my family.

Fall is here, and winter isn’t far behind! 🍂

What motivates me as a business owner?

Honestly, it’s my family!

After nearly three decades in construction, I’ve learned that running a business isn’t always easy. There are long days, tough decisions, and plenty of challenges along the way. But whenever things get difficult, I remind myself why I started in the first place.

I want to build something that creates a better future for my family and something they can be proud of.

There’s something special about having a place to enjoy the outdoors as the seasons change! 🍂

A screened in porch is one of my favorite ways to make more use of your outdoor space, especially in the fall.

Imagine sitting outside with your family on a cool evening, enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning, watching the leaves change, or gathering together without having to worry about bugs.

It’s more than just an addition to your home. It’s another place to slow down, spend time together, and make memories.

I take a lot of pride in building outdoor spaces that become part of a family’s everyday life and get enjoyed for years to come.

At the end of the day, I’m not just building for a living. I’m building for my family!❤️

I’m the owner of Noma Construction, but before anything else, I’m a dad and a family man. My daughter is a big part of my why. Every project, every long day, and every hour spent working is ultimately about creating a better life for the people I love.

I’ve been working in construction since the late 90s, starting as a framer and carpenter. Nearly three decades later, I still love what I do, but now there’s an even bigger purpose behind it.

I get to take that same pride I have in building something for my own family and put it into the spaces I create for yours.

Because a home is more than walls and materials. It’s where your kids grow up, where families gather, and where memories are made.

That’s what I want to build!

Something my family can be proud of, and something your family can enjoy for years to come.

A great outdoor space can completely change how you enjoy your home.

This composite deck is a perfect example of what I love about this work. It’s not just about adding a deck to a house. It’s about creating a space where you can sit outside, have dinner with your family, entertain friends, or simply enjoy your morning coffee.

Composite decking is also a great option for homeowners who want the look and feel of a beautiful deck with less maintenance than traditional wood.

I take a lot of pride in transforming outdoor spaces and knowing that the work we do becomes part of a family’s home and memories for years to come.

There’s a side of me you might not know about... I love horses!

There’s just something about being around a horse that I’ve always enjoyed. They’re strong, hardworking, and they have a personality all their own.

I think maybe that’s part of what I appreciate about them. You can’t rush a horse. You have to be patient, pay attention, and put in the work. And when you do, you build trust.

I’ve found that a lot of the same things matter in construction.

After more than 25 years in the construction business, I’ve learned that good work takes time, attention to detail, and pride in what you’re building. You can’t cut corners and expect something that lasts.

That’s the kind of mindset I bring to Noma Construction.

Whether I’m building a porch, transforming an outdoor space, or working on someone’s home, I want the finished product to be something the homeowner can be proud of for years to come.

So yes, I love building things...

But sometimes you’ll find me taking a break from construction and spending a little time with a horse instead.
