On this project at SAM. NYC, we did our specialty application of tone on tone microcement! Using 3 different colors from base, to second application with a flash color.
We then use our trowels to blend the colors into the floor. Creating a variegated look!
We could do this with any combination of colors.

Welcome to Part 5 and final of this series. In this final episode, we applied our final application of Duraaman Skraffino microcement using the fine/superfine grade combined.
Upon drying we came back sanded the previous application and applied our water based epoxy and urathane sealers.

Welcome to part 4 of our series of microcement bathroom Charlotte,NC. After all the preparation we did in the past videos, it all comes down to this. In this video, we are applying our first application of Duraaman Skraffino microcement over our sanded and primed, base coated walls.
We use a 2 part blend of regular and fine grade material that we pre blend on site. To give us a full coverage and also to act as a last filler on our walls.
We did add a liquid integral color as well. To duplicate our pre approved sample for this project.
After this application dries. We will thoroughly sand the walls and floor. And apply a final application of microcement at a different grade. As you will see in part 5.

There are no limits to where we are asked to install microcement! Ceilings are fairly popular. Just as plasterers that have been doing for years. Microcement has a place there as well! This is a small ceiling in comparison to others. Just point and we’ll apply it!

We have had many inquiries as to whether or not we could install, microcement over heating elements. We actually can and have done many. On hot water pex tubing and electric elements. On this project in Monroe, NC. We did just that on this 3500 sq ft multi level home. Over a wood substrate. We did the full pex tubing installation as well.

Welcome back to part 3 of our series of installing micro-cement bathroom walls and floors. In this part, we demonstrate our process of applying basecoats to walls and shower base. In order to have a seamless, flat and waterproof base , to apply our final microcement finishes. These steps are critical, as our surfaces need to be completely flat and smooth for our micro-cement applications.

Welcome to part 2 of our series as we take you to the steps of doing a micro-cement bathroom.
In this video, we applied mesh tape to all our joints in the go-boards that we previously installed. We are also applying a vinyl type corner bead to all our outside corners.
Followed by our first application of micro-cement to embed the mesh tape and to begin filling the corner beads to create clean outside corners. Stay tuned for part 3 when we begin to apply base coat to the entire walls to create a smooth canvas for our micro-cement!
