Excessive Heat Advisories and Warnings are in place today across Illinois. Heat index temps from 100 to 115 degrees are expected. Highs in the low to upper 90s. It's one of the hottest days of the year.

Summer continues for the foreseeable future!

- Models have reversed course and now show warm to hot weather continuing into the beginning of September. Highs in the 80s and 90s will continue. Humid conditions at times but not terrible over the next couple of weeks. Rain chances will be near normal.

September will open extremely warm/hot across the middle and eastern part of the country as a big summer time ridge builds across the southeast. With super El-Nino incoming this winter, models are trending very warm and less snow than normal for northern Illinois. Any forecast that shows the opposite is very unlikely.

With all the rain we’ve had TODAY and more coming throughout the week, we have made the decision to STOP WORKING UNTIL CONDITIONS GET BETTER.

We are doing EVERYTHING WE CAN to get caught up, but we don’t want to tear up yards, leave ruts, or damage your property by trying to work in these conditions. 🌱💦
