Meet the Team: John Skoski 👋
John has been part of The Countertop Shop team for almost a year, but brings more than 25 years of experience in kitchen, bath, flooring, and remodeling sales! His favorite part of the job is the creative process of helping customers bring all the pieces of a project together and building relationships along the way — some of his customers have even become good friends.
When it comes to countertops, John is a fan of natural stone, especially soapstone. His love for design carries over into his personal life, too! He lives in a 1957 Mid-Century Modern colonial, with the décor and style throughout the home reflecting the period. 🏡
Outside of work, John is a self-proclaimed homebody who enjoys exploring Toledo and spending time in his native Detroit. He’s also the proud owner of four rescue cats — Fergie, Faye, Wolfie, and Lima Bean. 🐱 His favorite local spots include Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar and Doc Watson’s, and you’ll probably find 80s New Wave playing in the background. 🎶
Asked to describe himself in three words, John had a slightly different answer: “I’m a spaz!”
