This kitchen was way over due for a makeover, so glad Ms. Linda called us for another project! This one was fun! Light fixtures and floating shelves next week.

This customer had an addition done 30 years ago and the floor system was failing, floor joist were 24” oc, and there was no ventilation in the crawl space. We ran a commercial dehumidifier for a week, installed a moisture barrier under the crawl space, and installed ventilation holes and vent caps in both ends of the crawl space under the addition. After we handled the moisture inside we installed 2 small French drains outside from the rain gutters to get the water away from the house. Then we reframed the floor system a little over kill 12” oc with new sub floor and some LVP. Please don’t let moisture take over your house, the longer you put it off the worse it gets.

We don’t always get to do custom finish work and fancy remodels, we get down and dirty in the trenches too. Went to this customers house to look into some wood rot because her floor joist and sub floor were failing. After we started demo we realized she had a bad termite problem! Shout out to major Tom for getting the termites taken care of the same week we found them! Please don’t put off repairing wood rot, the problem is only going to get worse! Moisture and wood is all termites need to survive. Glad we caught it when we did. Installed new pressure treated rim joist and floor joists with Simpson tie joist hangers. New subfloor and some life proof LVP flooring, no job too big or too small give us a call

Pompano remodel update…Check out our last pictures of this place. This house started with 7’ 2” ceilings throughout, we vaulted the ceiling and added an LVL beam, and wrapped everything in tongue & groove. Ready for paint and then flooring, door trim, and baseboard
