When is a Lull Lift (Telehandler) required? 🚧🏗️

A lull lift is typically needed when the building size, weight, height, or engineering requirements exceed what standard installation methods can safely handle. In most cases, lifts should have a minimum capacity of 6,000–8,000 lbs.

Use a lull lift for:

✅ Buildings wider than 30 ft
✅ Buildings with sidewalls 15 ft or taller
✅ Installations on frost walls that push total height above 14 ft
✅ Units with 14x14 Roll-Up Doors (RUD) or larger
✅ Risk Category II certified buildings
✅ Roof pitches greater than 3/12
✅ Buildings using double legs or ladder legs
✅ 70 PSF / 90 PSF certified buildings (high snow-load engineering)
✅ Heavier engineered structures requiring increased lifting capacity

Why it matters:
A lull lift improves safety, stability, and installation efficiency while handling larger engineered components that standard equipment may not safely support. On oversized or heavily certified buildings, proper lifting equipment isn’t optional — it’s part of completing the install correctly.

Rule of thumb: If the building is unusually wide, tall, heavily engineered, or high-load certified, plan on a lull lift.
