🟦 RUBAROC 101 #2 — WHAT IS EPDM?

You’ve probably heard us talk about EPDM… but what does it actually mean? 🤔

E — Ethylene
P — Propylene
D — Diene
M — Monomer

EPDM is a high-quality synthetic rubber commonly used in decorative rubber surfacing.

🌈 Why do we love it?

EPDM offers excellent colour options and is designed to withstand outdoor conditions, making it a popular choice for areas where appearance, durability and performance matter.

It's the colourful rubber you see in many of our blends!

From subtle neutrals to bold, vibrant colours, EPDM gives you plenty of options to create a surface that’s uniquely yours. 🌈

Now you know! 🎓

Next week: SBR — what is it and why is it used?

It's been a REALLY busy last few weeks! Too many people to thank! 6 liners, a bear of a pool fill in, and a lot of service calls in the last 4 weeks. I'm one tired old man! Here's a few pics of what we did. The last two pics are the pool fill in. 5' of groundwater! Can't even tell there was a pool there!

What do you do whe 1 employee misses 3 days due to dehydration/heat exhaustion, your service manager gets attacked by a pit bulldog and needs 10 stitches, and one of your work trucks gets stolen????? You suck it up and make good on what you tell your customers! This old man is TIRED! 3 liners (1 by myself) 1 light install, many service calls.

Sometimes people get soooo excited about their new Rubaroc overlay they step on it a little too soon! Actually our customer was just trying to get a water sample after getting a pool renovation. New coping, new liner, and new Rubaroc to bring it all together. Fortunately our skilled installers made it look like it never happened!
