This one steps from 4' to 5' to 6' and all the way up to 7' tall.

Why the lattice on top? In Mitchell, a privacy fence can be 6' tall with an additional 1' of semi-privacy, so we added 1' of lattice to give the homeowner the extra height and privacy while still keeping the top portion open.

The lattice also gives the fence a great finished look and breaks up the solid privacy panels.

Every yard is different, and we can build your fence around the layout, privacy needs, and style you're looking for.

6' Cedar Privacy Fence completed with our chocolate pre-stained finish.
Most people think stain is about color.
We think it's about protection.
Cedar is a natural product. From the day it's installed, the sun begins breaking down the wood fibers, while rain and changing seasons cause the boards to absorb and release moisture. Over time, that leads to fading, checking, and weathering.
That's why we offer pre-stained cedar fencing.
By applying stain before installation, every board is protected—including the edges and ends that are often left exposed during field staining. The stain helps slow UV damage, reduce moisture absorption, and extend the life and appearance of the fence.
Of course, a fence is only as strong as what's holding it up.
That's why we pair our cedar fences with Gregory C steel posts, featuring one of the highest galvanized coatings available. The cedar provides the beauty, while the steel post provides the backbone.
A fence should look great on day one.
It should still be standing strong years from now.

White 2-Rail Vinyl Fence completed in Salem, SD.
When most people think of vinyl fencing, they picture a 6' privacy fence.
But vinyl is much more versatile than that.
This 2-rail ranch-style fence defines the property without closing it off, keeps the open feel of the yard, and won't require scraping, painting, or staining year after year.
One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is, "Do you only install privacy fence?"
The answer is no.
From ranch rail and picket fences to semi-privacy, full privacy, ornamental iron, chain-link, and custom gates, every property has different goals—and the fence should match them.
If you're not sure what style fits your home, stop by our showroom at 601 S Burr St. in Mitchell, SD. You can compare different fence styles, colors, and materials side by side before making a decision.

4' Black Chain-Link Fence completed in Sioux Falls, SD.
Let's talk about something most homeowners never notice until years later...
Gate sag.
A chain-link gate is the only part of the fence that's constantly moving. Every time it's opened and closed, gravity is working against it. Without the proper support, gates eventually begin to drag, rub the latch, or become difficult to close.
That's why every chain-link gate we build includes a welded truss rod.
The truss rod keeps the gate frame square and helps resist sag over time. If the gate ever begins to settle after years of use, the rod can be adjusted to bring the gate back into alignment—without replacing the gate.
It's a small detail that adds years to the life of your fence.
When comparing fence companies, don't just ask what size pipe they use.
Ask if their gates include a welded truss rod.
Sometimes the biggest difference between two fence quotes is a detail you won't notice until years after the installation.

This Mitchell, SD backyard received a premium white vinyl privacy fence with Gregory C steel posts driven 4' into the ground, perfectly balanced panel spacing, and a key-lockable double drive gate.

We don't believe in making the last panel "work." Every section is planned so the fence flows evenly from start to finish. It takes more time, but it's the difference between a fence that is installed professionally and one that is pieced together.

If you're investing in a fence you'll see every day, the details matter.
