Yesterday was a great day at Garden City Monuments!

While our shop crew was busy blasting away, Bob and Michelle — the former owners of Garden City Monuments — were back out at the University of Montana helping with brick engraving during brick season.

It means a lot to see the traditions continue and to have people who still care deeply about supporting the community step in and help make it happen. Their dedication, craftsmanship, and pride in the work are a big part of what built Garden City Monuments into what it is today.

Just another example of neighbors helping neighbors and adding value to the community we all love.

Thank you Bob and Michelle for all your help yesterday — and as always… GO GRIZ!

Fun fact: In 2010, Nicolas Cage bought two cemetery plots in St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans, Louisiana, near the legendary Marie Laveau. With these plots, he built a mysterious 9-foot-tall pyramid tomb. The reasons remain unknown. He has never publicly discussed it.

So, let’s talk about something most people avoid…

Why is it so uncomfortable to talk about what happens after we’re gone?

We plan vacations. We plan weddings. We plan finances.

We were honored to recently create a memorial stone for Barry Allen on behalf of our friends Andrew and Steph. Barry was deeply loved, and it meant a great deal to us to help create something lasting to celebrate his life and memory after his passing earlier this year.

Being trusted with memorial pieces is never something we take lightly. Our goal is always to craft something meaningful, personal, and worthy of the stories and love behind it. We hope this stone serves as a quiet place of remembrance for years to come.
