Just wrapped up this little 1,600 sq.ft. build!
8 days with 3 guys and we crushed it! From a hole in the ground to somebody's future home. 👌🏽

The time frame in which it takes to erect a structure can vary drastically in tune with the price to build said structure. The more details, fine finishes, changes to the build, engineering and architectural details there are, the more time consuming and meticulous the project is. There are also many other factors such as: other trades and their time frames, weather, product availability and delivery, health, manpower and just overall "life" that can affect the time spent on a build. There are an insane amount of moving parts and cogs that need to move together flawlessly to produce a quality product in a timely manner.

Fortunately this builder is reputable for having everything figured out to the "T" and we were in and out! I loooooove me a quick frame!

It's bittersweet, to have finished up such an extravagant build.

We took this dream from nothing but a hole in the ground, to what it stands as now. Blood sweat and tears definitely went into this project. And the quality shows 👌🏽

I'm over the moon at how this turned out, but so glad to be done with it! We have to come back for the decking, but thats last on the "trades list".

I'm beyond excited to see how everyone comes together to finish this project out ❤️

Here are some of the most "up to date" pictures. Lots has happened on this project as of late.
The floor got its T&G (photos 1-4).
The ENTIRE roof got fir'd up another level with 11⅞ LVL AND BCI's in preparation for electrical and spray foam insulation (pictures 5 & 6).
The floor also got fir'd up another level in anticipation for electrical, hvac and plumbing rough-in. We're on a hiatus while the other trades rough-in, but will be back at it again, come next week!

Lots of framing happening on the Helmville project! We've added 2 shed roofs, a faux gable end, and roof fir-up's! (All showed in pictures.) We have also finished the T&G inside and fir'd up the floor system for electrical, plumbing and HVAC rough in!

There are many more pictures of progress stashed in the camera roll, but I can't share it all in one day! Stay tuned this upcoming week for more progress!

This weather has us doing some DEEP spring cleaning 😎
Changes to interiors can be challenging and sometimes just starting over is the best call. Fortunately we were able to tear all these walls out in a few hours and make our needed changes pretty quickly 🤟🏽

Tricky notches for our structural post to log connections on our shed roof build-out. (x2)

This particular post (I had 4 identical posts/notches to cut) not only had to support the 3:12 pitch shed roof, but also had to be cut to land on our 8:12 pitched dormer roof. IT ALSO landed simultaneously on the 45⁰, 10:12 pitch AS WELL AS the 8:12 pitched valley dormer round log 🤯

Lots of figuring, bad weather and uncomfortable positions on this build! Needless to say, I'm getting damn good with a chainsaw. 😏

I am quite certain that we are going to be on this job forever.

This project is immensely involved and each detail takes time and precision. When someone builds their forever house, we put our absolute best foot forward and ensure that every cut, every nail and every piece installed is done so to our professional standard.

This beautiful log home has been one for the books and we're NOT DONE YET!

The main structure is dried in as far as the finished ceiling goes. But there is still so much to be done. Needless to say we are thrilled with how this one is turning out and are looking forward to seeing the finished product!

We've also got another house being framed up currently, that I'll try to grab pictures of (if time allows)!

This project is moving along!

It doesn't help that EVERY DAY we have been on this project, it's been a "winter storm warning".

This house is perched atop a beautiful, hellscape of a property that is susceptible to 40-80mph winds and massive snow accumulation. This project has been a battle but its turning out beautifully! Stay tuned 💪🏽😎
