Homeowner had a Tennant attempt a toilet fix. I show up, I am told it's just an issue between the tank and the bowl, there are no leaks or issues under the toilet...I inspect the toilet, and notice it's not even secured to the floor...bolts are rusted, so I pull the toilet and find what is pictured below. Leaks so bad it rusted the bolts out, a wax ring that was never even sealed correctly to begin with, plus the leak from between bowl and tank caused by renternot puttingthe toilet back together correctly. The lesson here is...
don't work on your own plumbing, you may think there is no reason to pull that toilet, but trust your pros (as long as they are a pro, and not a Jack)
