It was an honor to participate in the final architecture review at South Texas College last week. These first-year architecture students presented their semester-long design projects to a panel of local architects and educators. It was amazing to see the thoughtful concepts and creative problem solving demonstrated by the students. This program contains a lot of talent and we look forward to seeing more of it during future reviews! Thank you to all who participated.

How it started vs. how it’s going…

We had an extra set of eyes checking out the Presidio Plaza we designed in San Juan 👀

What began as a vision over 3 years ago has now become a reality. The first tenants opened their doors in winter 2023, and by March, we welcomed the newest addition to our family – our son.

This project was a true labor of love, involving master planning for the 4-acre site, designing a 15,000 SF shell building, 23 townhomes, and crafting the interior for one of the restaurants. We’re excited to see the plaza come to life and wish all the tenants the best. Looking forward to returning soon for more great food!

We are excited to see a Hyperbaric Clinic we planned is now open and serving the community of McAllen! Our team helped repurpose this existing modular building into a hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic featuring 3 chambers. The chambers rest on a structurally modified chassis and are supplied by the cryogenic oxygen tank in the distance. To make this project happen, the city unanimously approved our variance application to locate the project within a required city setback.

It's been a hot summer for construction, but there's work to be done! With 100% of the spaces leased, the construction team is now starting on the interior built-outs for the tenants.

This month we are also starting phase 2 of the development, consisting of 23 modern townhomes. The design features uniquely composed facades for each unit, providing a sense of individuality within a cohesive community.
