With the costs of everything and people trying to DIY more projects I'm going to start offering my services to those looking for a little help with their specific projects. Can meet for a consultation, offer basic 3d drafting for conceptual drawings, construction, contracting and the skilled and vetted subcontractors that entails.
I'm also expanding into the home maintenance/caretaking space. The average home is getting older and older and sometimes it just takes a set of experienced eyes to point out what needs to be addressed or repaired before more serious and expensive issues arise. Or maybe you or a family member are just getting to an age where getting up on the roof to clean out gutters or check for damage is just to dangerous.

Born and raised in Hayward WI. I graduated the WITC-Rice Lake Residential Construction and Cabinet Making Program with honors. I then moved down to the twin cities area where I began framing homes for a framing subcontracting company. We built anything from a slab on grade home in less than a week to multi million dollar homes. It was in this setting that I was able to learn how to quickly and efficiently build high quality homes.
I have since then returned to the Hayward area. I’m looking to implement some cutting edge construction techniques and material with tried and true building methods to provide clients with not only a beautiful building or home, but also one that functions well beyond current code and energy standards. I believe with a growing population and a finite amount of resources available that we should all do what we can to provide for the future generations.
Some of these building practices will include:
Floor Trusses- a little more upfront cost on material but labor is reduced across framing and subcontractor labor, saving money. No soffit framing in your basement ceilings unless absolutely needed. I believe it makes for a much stronger floor system and allows much larger clear spans(less bearing walls for open concepts).
LSL or LVL tall walls and kitchen/vanity walls- These are basically engineered studs that are much stronger and straighter than a basic SPF stud. Using these on great room vaulted walls is a must and your cabinet and counter-top installer will very much appreciate a truly straight wall.
CAD drawings- If there is a detail you are having trouble imaging/visualizing and it’s not depicted by a draftsmen or architect on the plans I have available a computer aided drafting program that I use to nail the details down. Such as archways, fireplace details, trim details and timber-frame design. It’s much easier to draw up something with actual dimensions rather than waste time an material on site and delay schedules.
Buildertrend- This is a wonderful program that I hope to implement in the future. With most people in this region building vacation homes and living a distance away it’s great for tracking progress and communicating. Communication is key in getting the end product that you want. This program is accessible from any smartphone or computer that can connect to the internet. Homeowners will be able to track progress and schedules, be updated of any delays or changes, questions from subs or builder and track conversations, even offering online payments.
