Ever wonder how long a roof replacement actually takes? Justin’s on a job site breaking it down.

A typical 30-square hip roof runs about 7-8 hours if we start at 7am. Sometimes underlying issues like spaced decking mean extra work to meet code, so timelines can shift. That’s the kind of straight answer you’ll get from us every time.

Multi-family roofs need more than a patch job.

This one had a ballasted roof (river rock holding it down) that was old and leaking. We replaced it with a TPO Rhino Bond system and re-engineered the drainage with a new tapered package, so water now drains from both sides instead of just one. We also added four scuppers to balance out the north and south sides.

This is the kind of detail that keeps a commercial roof performing for decades, not just years.

Most roofers stop at code. We don't.

On this Lake Minnetonka job, we ran ice and water shield around every pe*******on on the roof: the pipe boot, the furnace cap, and the chimney. We even threw on a second layer at the front overhang because it's oversized. That's what it takes for a roof to actually hold up through a Minnesota winter, not just pass inspection.

This flat roof had more going on than it looked.

We're putting down new gray TPO on this commercial building in Minneapolis. First we found the real issue: rusted, compromised edge metal and outdated electrical hiding under the surface. We fixed both before laying a single sheet. An honest look before anything else, every time.

Ready for the same? Schedule your Honest Roof Evaluation.

This job in New Brighton was fully approved, but the insurance company left out starter, ice and water, and felt paper from the payout. So we went back with a supplement and got them to cover it.

The homeowner’s only cost? Their deductible. Nothing more, nothing less.

That’s what fighting for your claim actually looks like.

We get asked this a lot: what products do we actually use?

Owens Corning. We’re a Platinum Preferred Contractor, which means we install their full lineup and back it with warranty coverage most contractors can’t offer.

On this roof, we’re putting on Owens Corning Driftwood, a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle. That rating can save homeowners around 10% on their insurance premium, depending on carrier, because insurers know Class 4 shingles hold up better against hail.

Another homeowner on this job chose the Duration Designer shingle, also Class 4, for the same reason. Two different looks, same smart move on premiums.

Another roof replacement, approved by insurance.

This one’s an ACV policy, and the roof was 20 years old. That means the insurance company depreciated it accordingly, leaving the homeowner responsible for the rest out of pocket, around $9-10k in this case.

We got them financed. 0% interest for 16 months, nothing due until month 16, and no interest at all if paid in full by then.

A lot of policies work this way these days. We fight for your claim, and when there’s a gap, we help you cover it.
