Multi-family roofs need more than a patch job.

This one had a ballasted roof (river rock holding it down) that was old and leaking. We replaced it with a TPO Rhino Bond system and re-engineered the drainage with a new tapered package, so water now drains from both sides instead of just one. We also added four scuppers to balance out the north and south sides.

On this Lake Minnetonka job, we ran ice and water shield around every pe*******on on the roof: the pipe boot, the furnace cap, and the chimney. We get asked this a lot: what products do we actually use?

Owens Corning. We’re a Platinum Preferred Contractor, which means we install their full lineup and back it with warranty coverage most contractors can’t offer.

On this roof, we’re putting on Owens Corning Driftwood, a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle. That rating can save homeowners around 10% on their insurance premium, depending on carrier, because insurers know Class 4 shingles hold up better against hail.

Another homeowner on this job chose the Duration Designer shingle, also Class 4, for the same reason. Two different looks, same smart move on premiums.
