: Mystic Lake Casino – Dakota Re-Roof, Phase 2 (2016)

The Phase 2 roof replacement schedule at Mystic Lake Casino was especially aggressive, with the primary construction period planned for just 17 working days. The project demonstrates Central Roofing Company’s ability to manage complex reroofing assignments involving multiple trades, rooftop equipment and detailed sequencing at a major commercial property. Our ongoing portfolio of work across the Mystic Lake properties is testament to our positive working relationships with clients, quality project outcomes, and reliability.

Back in 2016, Phase 2 of the Mystic Lake Casino Dakota Re-Roof was a fast-paced commercial reroofing project requiring careful coordination of roofing, mechanical systems and exterior building components. The construction schedule called for mobilization, removal of the existing rock surfacing, roof and parapet demolition, and installation of the new roofing system at a planned production rate of approximately 800 square feet per day.

Beyond the primary roofing work, the project involved roof curb extensions, rooftop unit (RTU) work, removal and reinstallation of four exhaust fans, removal of three smoke-evacuation fans, parapet work, concrete-paver walkways and EIFS repairs. These interconnected scopes required precise sequencing and coordination to keep the project moving efficiently while work progressed across the roof.

In 2026, Central Roofing Company was on top Mystic Lake Casino again completing the roofing for its new addition.

25 years ago today, Central Roofing Company owner and retired COO, Warren Stock, was working with his crew on top a building near the MSP airport. Shortly after 9am, the radio reported that the Twin Towers had been struck by planes and fell. Another plane had crashed into a field in Pennsylvania and another into the Pentagon. Due to the risk of more threat, all aircrafts across the country were commanded to immediately land. Over the course of two hours, the crew saw plane after plane land in rapid succession and then finally, silence — as if the sky itself was holding its breath.

In honor of the heroes of that day, those who lost, and all Americans who continued to work and persevere in a time of great uncertainty and grief, we offer a moment of silence once again, our prayers, and our promise to continue to remember.

At Mystic Lake in Prior Lake, our union crews have been on top the new addition to the casino, installing a fully adhered 60-mil tan TPO system while navigating limited staging, controlled deliveries, 100% tie-off requirements and daily quality checks. The scope also includes 24-gauge prefinished steel coordinated through Central Roofing Company’s in-house sheet metal capabilities.
