After dark, House of Light and Form takes on a new presence. Architectural lighting reveals the texture of stone monoliths, illuminates spaces framed by glass, and emphasizes the floating roof planes that give the home its sculptural character.

Imagine coming home to a work of art.

House of Light and Form began with the placement of sculptural forms—stone monoliths, floating roof planes and expansive glass. Together, they shape a home that reveals something new as you move around it: a changing composition of light, shadow and space.

The design is complete. Now, we’re looking for someone as excited to call it home as we are to bring it to life.

Coming to the Artisan Home Tour this weekend!

Our custom Mid-Century Lakeside modern home at Carmen Bay in Orono, Minnesota is situated on a unique lakefront peninsula property with panoramic water views.

We maximized sightlines and natural light while preserving a mature maple tree in front, visible from the main gathering spaces. The main floor balances openness with privacy around the central living space, featuring a primary suite, guest suite, office near the entrance and a hidden scullery kitchen.

A glass bridge links the main structure to the front garage to form an inviting landscaped entry courtyard. Built for entertainment and wellness, the home extends outdoors with a cantilevered deck over a pool and covered hot tub.

The walkout lower level includes guest suites, a bar, game space and a dedicated health spa complete with a sauna, steam room and exercise room.

This home is MCM design at its finest!

We are happy to share that Hillside Pavilion will be featured in the Fall Artisan Home Tour this weekend!

Located in Wayzata, the design of this modern home began with a deep integration with its site. The home nestles into the sloping grade that drops steeply in the backyard. Horizontal and vertical planes define the forms and spaces of the home.

The main level is designed for comfortable daily life with a primary suite, an office and a private art studio that doubles as a guest suite. The landscape planters are a strong design feature, serving to anchor the house, emphasize the horizontal and create the courtyard.

Expansive glass walls invite natural light from all sides and establish a strong connection with the wooded backyard. Strategic openings are cut into the roof to bring controlled light to plantings and an outdoor gathering space.

Below, a walkout level hosts extra bedrooms and a spacious family room. An elevator connects both floors for aging in place.

The heart of this Architectural design is a covered patio, which opens from the great room to create a direct link to nature.
