If you're warm, they're thirsty! Follow these tips to keep your plants hydrated through these hot months:

πŸ’§ Don't over or under water! Before and after watering, use your finger to poke down at least one inch. If you find any dry soil, water more.

πŸ’§ Using a slow trickle (about the size of your finger), water shrubs and perennials for about 5 minutes and trees for 20-30 minutes.

πŸ’§ Water in the morning before the heat of the day.

πŸ’§ For new plants: water 3-4 times per week for the first two weeks, then 2-3 times per week for the next month during average weather. You don't need to water every day!

From mess to no-stress: this yard was basically a blank slate we turned into a client oasis with a bubbling fountain and beautiful brick accent wall.

Found a volunteer manning the machinery: looks like she might not be a morning person! At least her work is turtley awesome. ✨

Short answer: YES! πŸ¦— We design using a variety of native and native cultivars which help support our Minnesota ecosystem and can function as beautiful screening. Using ornamental grasses over turf also saves you a lot of time in mowing. πŸ˜‰ When designing for your space, we can do the hard work of choosing the best grass options for your yard and lifestyle, so reach out today for a consultation!
