I am honored to be giving this presentation early next month on why I believe the 1920s to be a Golden Era of Home Construction, including lessons from renovating and living in a home of the era.

This event is co-sponsored by the Shorewood Historical Society and the Shorewood Public Library and is open to the public. More information below!

The 1920's: A Golden Age of Home Construction

A presentation by Keith Stachowiak, AIA
Wednesday April 9, 2025
Village Center, 6:30 pm

During the 1920s, over 1800 homes were constructed in Shorewood. These years saw the collision of old world craftsmanship and period styles with major advancements in materials, construction techniques, and significant shifts in the way we live within homes.

Keith Stachowiak, AIA is the owner of KSK Architects, which specializes in the rehabilitation, and sensitive renovation of older homes and buildings. Keith will speak to his experiences working with homes of this era within Shorewood as well as his own 1929 Tudor, and will share lessons learned on what to look for and what to cherish about your historic home.

Program co-sponsored by the Shorewood Historical Society and the Shorewood Public Library. For more information, visit their website: https://shorewoodhistory.org/.
