The date was chosen in honor of legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi — the mastermind behind The Evil Dead — who was born on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑.

This day was formally launched and promoted in 2023, marking a global celebration of all things scary, suspenseful, and spine-tingling. ☠️
