We don’t call it the Granite State for nothing! 🪨

Before we could even begin prepping the layout for this garage slab in Nottingham, we had to demo and remove multiple massive boulders that were right in the middle of the build area. We brought in the right size machine with a hydraulic hammer to safely break the rocks in the backyard of this tight residential lot. The best site work starts with a clean slate and often times we have to make it.

This week we wrapped up this all-weather horse paddock and arena in Milton, NH
We removed all stumps & surface boulders, stripped the topsoil, brought in over 100 yards of fill to regrade the sub-grade in proper lifts, worked with the existing swale to add a rip-rapped culvert to divert water run off, added paddock slabs and gravel and capped it with stone dust following recommended paddock standards for our northern climate. The end result is a safe, durable riding surface that will last for years to come.

This past weekend, Quality Excavation Services LLC completed a roadway improvement project on a fire road off of Bow Lake in Strafford, NH. The existing dirt road had experienced erosion over time. A new layer of reclaimed asphalt millings was spread evenly, moistened, and compacted to create a smooth and stable surface.

Reclaimed asphalt is an excellent alternative to traditional gravel for roadway and driveway surfacing. When properly compacted, the material binds together much like asphalt, creating a durable, longer-lasting surface that minimizes dust and washouts — all at a fraction of the cost of new pavement.

The work was scheduled and performed on a Saturday in order to accommodate the homeowner’s availability, and the project was completed efficiently in only a few hours.

A special thank you to Mike Sanborn Excavating & Trucking, INC for supplying and delivering the reclaimed asphalt millings. The product and delivery were both excellent and efficient.

We recently wrapped up a perimeter drain project on a lakefront property in Milton, NH ✅

The homeowner had been dealing with water intrusion in the basement, so we installed a new perimeter drain with proper fabric and stone to move water away from the foundation. While digging, we came across a cracked sewer line — we replaced the damaged section and set it deeper for better frost protection.

Once the drainage work was complete, we regraded the yard and finished with fresh loam and seed so the lawn can come back better than ever! A big thanks to the homeowner for pitching in with backfill — teamwork made this one happen. 👊

A great client of ours over in Barrington, NH had us out to prep an area for a shed pad using existing materials. After we wrapped up the initial grading, she decided she wanted to upgrade to a full concrete slab — so we came back and made it happen! 👊

We brought in gravel, compacted the base, formed out an 11x11 pad, and poured and finished the slab for a clean, solid foundation that’ll last for years to come

From ground prep ➡️ forms ➡️ pour ➡️ finish — we handled it start to finish.
