TIP OF THE DAY!

Steer clear of attacking low balls, whether they’re bouncing or coming from the air. Hitting the ball below net height makes it tough to execute an offensive shot. If you strike from directly below the net, you’ll likely hit the ball into the net. If you try to hit it up just to clear the net softly, your opponents will have an easy opportunity to finish the point. Conversely, hitting it up hard could send the ball out. You can make an offensive play on balls just a few inches below the net with topspin, but anything lower than that is best avoided.
