We have some new varieties of seeds that will be available tomorrow (3/20/26) at the Milner Library. Quantities are limited. There are also still some hot pepper varieties as well. Stop by and grab something to grow!

***We are also accepting donations. Whether you bought a pack of seeds and aren’t using them, have some left over in a pack, or saved seeds last year, we can use them! Donations can be dropped off at the front desk inside the Milner Library. Please make sure the label seeds not in their original packaging. Thank you!***

Then make sure that you check out the Lamar County Free Seed Library for available seeds housed at the Milner Community Library. The seed library is a project of one of our 7th grade 4-H'ers who is focusing on food security! Pepper seeds are coming to the Free Seed Library today!! They should be in place by 1:30pm. Swing by the Milner Community Library and check out the seed selection.
**Please keep in mind that packages have been broken down to allow us to serve more of the community. Each package contains more than enough seeds to benefit your family, but is not in its original packaging. Growing info is listed on the new envelope.

Do you LOVE hot peppers? Well you’re in luck! We’ve been blessed with a large variety of peppers ranging from bells to jalapeños all the way up to ghost peppers and Carolina Reapers!! No matter what level of heat you can handle, we have a pepper for you! Remember, pepper plants take a while to get established, especially some of the spicier varieties but they also have the ability to overwinter indoors and produce peppers again the second year! We’ll post more details on overwintering pepper plants later in the season, but for now, GET GROWING! Seeds will be available at the Milner Community Library on FRIDAY, JULY 5th (NOT before). Quantities are very limited on some, so grab them before they’re gone! 🌶️ 🫑 🌱

Hey y’all! We’ve been busy with weddings and graduations but we haven’t forgotten about the Free Seed Library! A whole new batch of seeds will be added to the drawers tomorrow morning(7/2). Make sure to stop by the Milner Community Library and grab some seeds! It may be extremely hot out, but there are lots of varieties available that can handle the heat.

🎉Opening Day🎉 The first location for the seed libraries is officially open! Located inside of the Milner Community Library. The seeds are free for everyone. Take what you need but leave plenty for others please. Seed donations are accepted and encouraged. They can be left at the desk for the time being until a donation box is put in place. Stop by and check out this amazing resource during their normal hours Tuesday 11-7, Wednesday 11-5, Thursday 11-6, Friday 11-5, Saturday 11-2, closed Sunday and Monday.
