Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending and sponsoring a summer “Wine Down” event with BeLocal Frederick and Stroll Worman's Mill at Keymar Winery !

The weather couldn’t have been better for an evening on the vineyard filled with live music, great conversations, networking, and of course, the chance to sample some delicious local wines. Keymar Winery is a brand new beautiful Veteran- and woman-owned winery, and we loved getting the opportunity to experience their space while connecting with Worman’s Mill residents, local businesses, community partners, and nonprofit leaders.

Fence & Deck Connection was also happy to add a little extra fun to the evening with a giveaway featuring a wine bag and some delicious bottles from the winery!

Thank you to BeLocal Frederick, Stroll Worman’s Mill, and Keymar Winery for such a wonderful event!

We had such a great time at our "Ice Cream Social" in the Hatteras Hills Community of Magnolia, Delaware last Friday! It was wonderful getting to spend the afternoon with neighbors enjoying some sweet treats.

This Laurel, Maryland deck got a complete top-to-bottom transformation and the results are stunning!

We started by removing and hauling away the existing deck, then rebuilt the upper level into approximately 490 sq. ft. of beautiful new outdoor living space. The main decking is TimberTech Dark Cocoa, paired with Coconut Husk feature boards, seams, and stair treads for a warm, custom contrast.

The new deck also features tan PVC-wrapped posts and textured fascia, sleek black aluminum railings, and a 6" English Walnut cap rail that adds the perfect finishing touch. A section of lattice was incorporated for added detail and coverage, while the new stairs feature clean mitered ends and lead down to a concrete landing.

And this makeover looks just as good in the day as it does at night! Black riser lights were installed on each stair riser, complete with a Bluetooth-compatible dimmable transformer and photo eye, with all wiring hidden neatly within the deck framing.

From the materials and color combinations to the railing, lighting, and structural upgrades, this Laurel deck was designed to feel completely refreshed while complementing the home beautifully.
