🦒🚧 LAKE TOBIAS / GIRAFFE ENCLOSURE 👷‍♂️🦒 We’ve recently been out at working hard to upgrade the landscape right by the giraffe enclosure. Here is a sneak peek at what we’ve been up to:

🌱 Layering the Foundation: We started by bringing in fresh topsoil to give these brand-new beds the perfect foundation.
🌿 Planting Variety: We’ve installed a beautiful mix of perennials, shrubs, and trees that will bring tons of life and color to the area.
🪨 Adding Character: We placed some massive accent boulders to give the space that rugged, natural look.
🚶‍♂️ Hardscaping & Safety: Next up, we're finishing up some stepping stones and installing a classic rope fence along the edge.

We’ve already completed the other side, and we can’t wait for you to see how the whole project comes together!

Out with the old, in with the new. What a beautiful transformation!

We followed the general shape of the old sidewalk but majorly improved how each curve flowed together!
Then added some path lighting and one under-cap light
to finish it off.

On this project/transformation we started by tearing out the 5 massively overgrown arborvitae’s that were taking up space on the existing concrete patio.

Then we extended the patio by building and small two foot retaining wall on the bottom side of the concrete pad, filled and compacted stone for a solid base and installed paver slabs surrounded with wall caps for an accented look.

Then we installed a two foot curved retaining wall for a raised bed on the bottom side of the patio and last but not least replaced those massive arbs with 4 large laurels to provide privacy along with some more plants and accent lights to finish it off!!

In the beginning of this video you see Manny installing SEK joint fill to fill in the cracks between the pavers, this sand after moisturizing gets hard to insure the pavers do not move and so no dirt washes/falls into the joints🧹🧹
