A small family passionate about plants and food! We have an appreciation for Follow along with us on our journey!

We are a small family operating an urban homestead in Georgia. We started our journey on a remote island in Alaska where we learned the importance of food preservation and harvesting our resources. We canned the fish we harvested from the sea, created wonderfully flavored jellies and jams from the berries around our house, grew as many vegetables as our raised beds (and bedroom) could hold, and fe

d enough sourdough to feed an army. We fell in love with the process and have made it a goal to one day become self sufficient. Now in Georgia, we are fortunate to have a much longer growing season, many more sunny days, and a small plot of land we are using to the fullest. We have welcomed ducks, chickens, and rabbits to our homestead for their many benefits and to feed our egg obsession. We are facing new challenges here; clay, excessive heat, learning our new roles as parents and relearning our whole family dynamic in a drastically different space.
