🔥 HOT WEEK AHEAD: SAFETY IS MORE THAN HARD HATS 🔥

When the temperatures climb, safety on the jobsite means more than watching for trip hazards, falling objects, or equipment movement. Heat is a jobsite hazard too.

At The Delventhal Company, our concrete and GC crews are trained to work smart, stay alert, and protect each other in every condition — especially during extreme heat.

This week, remember:

✅ Hydrate early and often
✅ Take shade breaks when needed
✅ Watch for dizziness, confusion, cramps, heavy sweating, or nausea
✅ Check on your crew — heat stress can sneak up fast
✅ Wear proper PPE, but know when the heat is becoming unsafe
✅ Plan the toughest work earlier in the day when possible

Team Members, don't forget to include your family in the safety discussions. Even two and five year olds know "Hard hats protect you if something falls on your head."

Email your kids'/grandkids' hard hat designs to [email protected] by Friday May 15th. Your supervisor can help. The Safety Committee will vote on the best design, and every kid that participates will receive a small thank you gift.
