Recently finished kitchen in Pawling NY. Small job with big impact.
Our client wanted a kitchen and breakfast area that matched the beauty of their 1800s farmhouse. Since everyone spends much of their time in the kitchen with family and friends, they wanted it to be a bright special place. We matched the existing metal roof and created an outdoor living area that was an easy walk from the kitchen. In the end, they found a place in their home they loved to be.

Standfordville Antique Home Remodel

The homeowners had a beautiful eighteenth century home that was too small and did not work for their lifestyle. We renovated many parts of the home and added a garage and guest quarters. They wanted a more modern addition to contrast with the antique home. It now looks and functions exactly as they imagined.

As September arrives and the air turns crisp, there’s no better place to welcome the season than this recently-completed renovation and expansion of an antique farmhouse in South Salem, NY. Our design honors the home’s historic character while creating a bright, generous gathering space for modern family life. Exposed timber beams and slate floors provide a timeless foundation, while deep green cabinetry, soapstone countertops, and red ladder-back stools add warmth and personality. A home designed for late-summer harvests, crisp autumn mornings, and generations of gatherings to come.

First look at the completed Brick Home Addition in the Berkshire’s.
We are primarily known for our new homes that respect the region’s vernacular architecture and tasteful additions, which often meld seamlessly with old homes and feel like they have always been there. When our client in the Berkshires asked us to design an addition that would contrast with her Classical Revival brick home, we were happy to accommodate her. We were asked to create a kitchen and butler’s pantry, a living room, a dining room, and a breakfast bay on the first floor, with a primary bath, family room, and spare room on the second floor.
The distinction between old and new is unmistakable, yet each seems to accentuate the character of the other.

Columbia County Hilltop Escape

Our clients found a beautiful hilltop site in the country, with sweeping views, quiet surroundings, and room to garden, write, and enjoy the landscape.

We designed the home to make the most of that setting, creating places to connect with nature throughout the house — from the main living spaces to the upper levels, covered porch, terrace, and outdoor gathering areas.

At dusk, the house takes on a warm glow, with the porches and interior rooms opening out toward the hills and woods beyond.
