Great day for our customers! 🌬️

Their old through-the-wall AC finally quit, and they needed something efficient, effective, and reliable. SamsungHVAC-USA came through on all three, and F.W. Webb Company delivered again right when we needed them!

We installed a 24k BTU unit to cool the large living room, dining room, and kitchen — and the difference was immediate.
The best part? The morning after the install, I got this text from the customer:

"Matt, thank you so much. I should have replaced my old AC a long time ago — it's super quiet, and it's freezing in the house now! Thank you again!"

That's the best kind of message to start the day with. 🙌

The customer had an old through-the-wall AC from 1990 that was not working. I was able to cover the hole and install a new SamsungHVAC-USA unit that will provide cooling and heating for this customer on the 2nd floor. It was 89F while I was working there, and it was NOT the hottest day yet! :) This was an emergency installation, and F.W. Webb Company stood up to the challenge again AND delivered the unit the next day after the order was placed! It doesn't get better than that!

Customer called me for a replacement estimate on his water boiler. Previous companies gave him sky-high pricing and told him replacement was his only option.

When I arrived, I started asking questions. He told me the boiler often won't fully light up, throws an ignition error, and he has to keep resetting it. This unit heats his domestic hot water, so it needs to run year-round.

I observed the boiler for a few minutes. Just from the sound of the burners, I told him right away — your incoming gas pressure is low. You don't need a new boiler.

The look on his face? Shocked. Nobody had told him that before.

I pulled my tools and measured gas pressure at the valve: 8.9" WC. This boiler requires a minimum of 11" WC and a maximum of 13" WC. It was starving for gas — that's why it wouldn't ignite properly.

After making adjustments, I brought the incoming gas pressure up to 11.16" WC. I also checked the heat exchanger to make sure it wasn't leaking, and vacuumed out the entire unit.

Is this boiler old? Yes — 20 years. Does it show signs of age? Sure. But as long as the core — the heat exchanger — isn't leaking and the exhaust system is in good condition, there is NO reason to replace the entire boiler. These Weil-McLain units will last a long time if they're properly maintained.

The customer was thrilled that I saved him a lot of money and asked for a stack of business cards to pass around to his friends.

Another example of a big company charging big money without doing the work to match.

A client in Milford called me after the company she'd been using wanted $300 to clean her outdoor unit and wash the indoor filters. When I arrived, here's what I found:

❌ The condenser was sloped so badly to one side that water wasn't draining through the weep holes — it was pooling inside and starting to damage the drain pan.

❌ Once I opened the unit up, it was clear nobody had actually taken it apart in years. Spiders, buildup, you name it — for a unit that was supposedly "cleaned every year."

When the customer saw me with nearly every panel removed, she said: "The other guys never did that." I showed her the condition inside and she was shocked.

Here's what I did:
✅ Leveled the unit using vibration eliminators under the feet and pad so it drains properly
✅ Fully disassembled and deep cleaned the condenser
✅ Cleaned the indoor unit, treated the coil with cleaner and deodorizer so it smells fresh

I was rushing and didn't grab photos of the indoor unit before cleaning — lesson learned! But the outdoor unit pictures tell the story.

When you pay for a cleaning, it should actually BE a cleaning. Job well done, on to the next one.

Got a call from an older gentleman who needed AC in his room. He's disabled and can no longer install window units on his own.

When I arrived on site, I learned he's a Veteran.

I reached out to F.W. Webb Company and together we worked out a great price for a great cause. I installed his unit for material cost only.

This is what it's about. Our Veterans gave everything for us — the least we can do is make sure they're comfortable in their own home.

Recently I was called out as a THIRD technician to evaluate a customer's AC system. Here's what she was dealing with before she found Cold Breeze:

❌ Company #1 (big outfit bought out by an investment group) — replaced her furnace last year at an astronomical price. Their salesman later called her trying to scare her into a 3.5 TON unit, claiming his "heat load calculation" showed 50% of her house was glass. Half the house. Glass. 😂

❌ Company #2 — charged her just for the estimate, added R-22 refrigerant to a system he KNEW was leaking (R-22 has been phased out for years), and still quoted her a high price for replacement.

I sat down with the customer, walked her through the numbers, explained exactly why her home needs a 3 TON unit — not 3.5 — and gave her a fair, honest price. She booked the install right there on the spot.

Monday I replaced her AC system. Four hours start to finish, clean jobsite when I left. She told me the previous company took from 8 AM to 10 PM to replace her furnace.
