I designed this carriage house for the previous owners of this property 30 years ago. The current owners asked me to modify it to allow for more livable space on the upper level, while keeping the integrity of the original architectural character in tact.
The carriage house was built into a hillside, so, with the addition of the triangular-shaped stone dormer, the building can now be accessed from either the lower level (a three-car garage) or the upper level. See the before and after photos.
