Part 2: The Repair

After years of handling abrasive blasting media, our cyclone separator needed attention.

Rather than patching the damaged area with a flat plate, we cut a matching curved section from an older separator and welded it into the active unit. The repair restored the system and kept the blast room operational while we wait for a replacement.

This is the kind of maintenance that keeps a shop running.

This cyclone separator is one of the hardest-working pieces of equipment in our shop.

Its job is to separate worn-out blasting media and dust before it reaches our dust collector. That helps protect our filter cartridges, reduce maintenance costs, and keep the blast room operating efficiently.

After years of heavy use, it needed some attention.
