Some people say I don’t get out of the office anymore 😂
Well, the boys decided to put that rumor to rest today and put me back to work on a sewer replacement! 💪😂
Apparently being the boss doesn’t get you out of grabbing a shovel every once in a while.
I may be a little rusty, but I still know my way around a sewer line! 😂
Just another day with the crew at Dynamic Drains! 🟢🟠

🔧 Homeowner Education Series – Week 6: What’s Really Clogging Your Drain?
A slow drain usually doesn’t happen overnight. Most blockages build gradually until one day… the water stops moving.
And depending on which drain is having trouble, the cause can be completely different.
🌳 Main sewer lines: Tree roots can find their way into small openings or joints in older sewer lines. Once inside, they continue growing and can eventually restrict flow or cause repeated backups.
🍳 Kitchen drains: Grease, oils and food waste can collect on the inside of the pipe over time. Even grease poured down the drain while hot can cool, harden and begin trapping other debris.
🚿 Tubs, showers & bathroom sinks: Hair, soap, toothpaste and other buildup can slowly reduce the inside diameter of the drain until water struggles to get through.
So why does knowing the cause matter?
Because not every clogged drain should be treated the same way.
Professional drain cleaning isn't simply about getting water moving again. It's about identifying where the blockage is, what's causing it, and using the right equipment for that particular drain.
💡 HOMEOWNER TIP:
Avoid chemical drain cleaners whenever possible. They may provide temporary relief, but they don't always remove the actual buildup and can be hard on certain plumbing systems. And remember—never pour grease down your kitchen drain. Let it cool, wipe it out and put it in the trash.
If you're experiencing drains that repeatedly slow down or back up, that's usually your plumbing system trying to tell you something.
Our goal with this series isn't to sell you a service every week. It's to help you better understand what's happening inside your home—even in the places you can't see.
Educated homeowners make better decisions.

Reviews like this mean a lot to us. 🙌
At Dynamic Drains, integrity comes before the invoice.
This homeowner was told their sewer had failed and they needed an $18,000 replacement. Instead of immediately accepting that answer, they called us for a second opinion.
Our team inspected the sewer, showed the homeowner exactly what we were seeing, answered their questions, and recommended the next step that actually made sense, a thorough cleaning and further evaluation.
We’re a locally owned small business, and the people we serve aren’t just customers they’re our neighbors. Our goal will never be to sell you the biggest job possible. It’s to give you an honest assessment, explain your options, and earn your trust.
Sometimes a sewer needs to be replaced. Sometimes it doesn’t.
Either way, we’ll tell you the truth.
Great job, Chris, for representing what Dynamic Drains is all about. 👏
🟢 Local. Honest. Experienced.

🔧 Homeowner Education Series – Week 5: Not All Plumbing Parts Are Created Equal
One thing homeowners may not see after a plumbing repair is what went into the wall, under the sink, or behind the fixture.
At Dynamic Drains, we believe the quality of the parts matters just as much as the quality of the installation.
That’s why we use genuine, professional-grade parts from trusted name-brand plumbing suppliers whenever possible. We’re not building our repairs around the cheapest fixture or fitting sitting on a big-box store shelf.
Why does that matter?
✅ Better internal components
✅ More consistent performance
✅ Better availability of replacement parts
✅ Manufacturer support and warranties
✅ Products designed for professional installation and long-term service
A faucet may look nearly identical on the outside, but the cartridges, valves, seals, metals, and internal components can be very different.
The same goes for toilets, shower valves, water heaters, sump pumps, faucets and the fittings hidden behind your walls.
We'd rather install something once and install it right than save a few dollars today and create another service call tomorrow.
Good plumbing isn't just about making water flow.
It's about using the right materials, quality products and proper installation so your plumbing keeps working long after we leave.
Educated homeowners make better decisions.

Help us wish a Happy Birthday to one of our drain techs, Chris!
Chris brings a great attitude to work every day, is always upbeat, and isn’t afraid to work hard and get the job done. We’re lucky to have him as part of the Dynamic Drains team.
Of course, nobody’s perfect he is an Ohio State Buckeye fan. 😂🌰 We try not to hold it against him too much. 🏈〽️
Happy Birthday, Chris! Hope you have a great one! 🎂🎉

🔥 Homeowner Education Series Week 3: Water Heater Maintenance
Your water heater is probably one of the hardest-working appliances in your home and one of the easiest to forget about until there’s no hot water.
A little routine maintenance can make a BIG difference.
Two of the most important things to pay attention to are:
💧 Flushing the tank
Sediment naturally collects at the bottom of a tank-style water heater. Over time, that buildup can reduce efficiency, create popping or rumbling noises, and make the water heater work harder than it should. Periodic flushing helps remove that sediment.
🛡️ Checking the anode rod
This is the part many homeowners have never heard of. The anode rod is designed to corrode so the steel tank doesn’t. Think of it as a sacrificial part protecting the water heater from the inside out.
Once that rod is significantly depleted, the tank itself becomes more vulnerable to corrosion. Replacing an anode rod at the right time can help extend the useful life of a water heater.
The important part? Maintenance isn't about replacing parts that don't need replacing. It's about knowing the condition of your equipment and taking care of it before a small issue becomes an expensive one.
That’s the purpose of this series: helping homeowners understand the systems they depend on every day.
Educated homeowners make better decisions.

Thank you for supporting all of us but especially the woman who quietly keeps everything moving.

💦 Homeowner Education Series – Week 2: Hydro Jetting 💦
When most people think of a clogged drain, they think, "Just snake it."
Sometimes that's all it takes.
But what if the real problem isn't a clog it's years of buildup coating the inside of your pipes?
Think of it like brushing your teeth. A toothpick might remove something stuck between your teeth, but it won't remove months of plaque. Your plumbing works the same way.
That's where hydro jetting comes in.
Using up to 4,000 PSI of water pressure, our 600 gallon hydro jetting system scours the inside of your pipes, removing:
✔️ Grease and sludge buildup
✔️ Tree roots
✔️ Soap residue
✔️ Mineral scale
✔️ Debris that restricts water flow
The goal isn't just to get the water flowing again it's to clean the pipe walls and help restore the line to the best condition possible.
⚠️ Hydro jetting isn't the right solution for every sewer line. That's why we almost always begin with a camera inspection. We want to understand the condition of your pipes before recommending the best course of action.
At Dynamic Drains, we believe homeowners deserve to know why a recommendation is being made—not just be handed an estimate.
An educated homeowner makes better decisions. That's what this series is all about.
