This project was a true team effort. While the homeowners took on the rest of the bathroom, Re-Bath focused on transforming the outdated fiberglass tub area into a fresh new focal point.

Our team installed a sleek DuraBath tub with white herringbone wall surrounds extending all the way to the ceiling, finished with black Moen fixtures for a clean, modern contrast.

Bob and Sue came to Re-Bath through a referral from a past customer. With Sue facing some recent health challenges, they needed a safer, more accessible shower. The existing bathroom presented a few unique challenges of its own.

The space included a smaller-than-average tub, a window in the wet area and plumbing that made a straightforward tub-to-shower conversion difficult. Bob worked with Senior Designer Scott to develop a solution that made the space safer, more functional and better suited to Sue’s needs.

Our team replaced the tub with a low-threshold shower base, built a full wall to accommodate the plumbing, and added a shower seat and grab bars for greater comfort and accessibility. We also replaced the countertop to help bring the updated space together.

It wasn’t a standard bathroom remodel—and that’s exactly where a custom solution like Re-Bath's makes all the difference.

These homeowners were ready to move on from a bathroom that hadn’t changed much since the 1960s and create a space that felt more comfortable, functional and up to date.

Our team removed the existing tub and replaced it with a walk-in shower featuring new Moen plumbing and fixtures. We also handled wallpaper removal and drywall repair before finishing the space with new flooring and Bertch cabinetry.

The result is a fresh, modern bathroom designed to better fit the homeowners’ needs as they enjoy retirement—and a space that feels completely renewed.

This remodel was about making the bathroom work better for today—and preparing it for whoever uses the space next.

The homeowners wanted to accommodate an aging parent, so the first priority was replacing the existing tub/shower with a safer, more accessible walk-in shower. Because the old setup stretched across the entire length of the bathroom, we were also able to rethink how the space was being used.

Our team installed a custom shower base, shifted the shower to the left, added a fold-down seat and replumbed the fixtures to fit the new layout. Then we framed a new wall and used the newly available space to create something the bathroom had been missing: practical storage.

The result is a bathroom that feels more thoughtful, more functional and better suited for the family’s changing needs.

And according to the homeowners, they were “thrilled” with how it all came together.

After just five years in their home, these homeowners were already dealing with a shower that had become more trouble than it should be. The tile and grout were deteriorating, leaks were becoming a concern, and keeping everything clean was turning into an ongoing chore.

Re-Bath replaced the old shower system with a DuraBath® acrylic tub and wall surround, including a recessed shelf for added storage. With no grout lines to scrub, a waterproof wall system and a lifetime warranty, the new space is designed to be much easier to live with for years to come.

We finished the remodel with new Moen fixtures for a clean, updated look.
