Ostmann's Heating & Air

The Frogcast is in… and we officially see 30's in the forecast. 👀

Saturday morning is dipping into the upper 30s, and that means furnaces around Heber Valley are about to start waking up after a long summer off.

The question is: is yours ready?
If you haven’t turned the heat on yet, this is a good week to give it a test run. Better to find out now that something isn’t working than on the first legitimately cold morning of the year.

After Monday’s storms, we’ve got a pretty beautiful stretch of fall weather ahead. ☀️🍂
Enjoy it, Utah. Furnace season is coming. 🐸 435-503-6010

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭...

Big windows, high ceilings, lots of open space, and a layout that just wasn’t working well with the home’s existing heating and cooling.

The solution was a properly sized mini-split.
It gave this room its own heating and cooling without tearing into the home to add ductwork, and now the homeowners can control the comfort of the space independently from the rest of the house.

That’s one of the things we love about mini-splits. They’re not just for garages and additions. Sometimes they’re the cleanest solution for that one room that never feels right.

Got a hot room, cold room, loft, basement, or addition you’ve basically given up on?
There may be a better option.

Somehow, an HVAC tech hears a homeowners description and goes:
“Yep. I know exactly what that is.” 😂

Years in the trade will do that to you.

So if your furnace has started speaking in tongues lately, give Ostmann’s a call. We’re fluent in weird HVAC noises. 🐸

This is exactly the kind of review we love to see!

Ben lives right here in Heber and trusted us with his HVAC work from start to finish.

He called out the things that matter most to us: showing up on time, fair pricing, a smooth install, and getting the new systems running the way they should.

That’s our standard!

Not flashy. Not complicated. Just good work, done right, for our neighbors!

TECH TIP TUESDAY 🛠️

A little condensation leak can turn into a whole lot more than a little problem.

This furnace we serviced in Midway is a perfect example. Moisture had been hanging around long enough to cause serious rust and damage inside the system.

That kind of issue usually doesn’t happen overnight. It builds slowly, which is exactly why regular maintenance matters.

Catching a small leak early can mean a simple repair.

Ignoring it can mean damaged components, repeated breakdowns, or eventually replacing equipment that might have lasted much longer.

If you see water, rust, staining, or anything that just doesn’t look right around your furnace, don’t ignore it.

Looks like a pretty nice week ahead across the Wasatch Back!

Monday starts partly cloudy, Tuesday brings the best chance for afternoon thunderstorms, then we settle into mostly sunny skies for the rest of the week with highs mostly in the upper 70s to around 80.

The bigger thing we’re noticing? Those mornings are getting cooler.

We’ve got lows dipping into the mid to upper 40s this week, which means furnace season is getting closer whether we’re ready for it or not. 😅 LET'S GET YOUR FURNACE SERVICED! 435-503-6010

Enjoy the sunshine, keep an eye on Tuesday’s storms, and have a great week!

Sunday check-in 👀
Be honest… When was the last time your furnace had a checkup?

A) This year 🙌
B) Last year
C) It’s been a few years 😬
D) Wait… furnaces need checkups? 😂

Cool mornings are starting to show up around the Wasatch Back, which means furnace season isn’t far behind.

Drop your answer below. No judgment from the Frog Crew. 🐸

Mini-splits are one of those HVAC options that can solve a lot of different comfort problems.

Have a room that’s always too hot or too cold? A mini-split can be a great way to add supplemental heating and cooling right where you need it.

Finishing a garage, basement, addition, bonus room, or older space without existing ductwork? They can also provide full heating and cooling without adding traditional ducts.

They’re efficient, quiet, and give you more control over individual spaces instead of relying on one thermostat to keep the whole house happy.

The right setup depends on the room, the home, and how you use the space, but mini-splits can be a seriously flexible solution.

If you’ve got a problem room, or a space you’d love to make comfortable year-round, Ostmann’s can help you figure out what makes sense.
