When your granddaughter asks for a goat… apparently Grandpa hears, “Let’s get back into farming.” 😂🐐

So off we went to the small animal auction, and as small business owner who loves supporting our community, it felt pretty great to support the hardworking 4-H kids while we were there.

Of course, one goat somehow turned into two goats. Because that’s how these things go.

Farm life definitely isn’t new around here, but it’s been a while — and now we get to teach the next generation that it’s not all cute goat pictures and ribbons. There’s cleaning pens, hauling feed, shoveling, bedding, feeding… and plenty of work before you get to the fun part.

And Grandpa, even with one arm out of commission, was right there helping get everything ready.

I have a feeling this girl is going to learn pretty quickly that farm life isn’t glamorous or smells good… but it sure is rewarding. ❤️🐐

And judging by that smile, I think she’s pretty happy with the deal.
