After 38 years with Corey Sly
Electrical Service, we are celebrating the retirement of
someone who has been part of this company from the
very beginning—Laddie Norton.

Back in the 80s, when Corey Sly Electrical Service was
just getting started, Laddie was right there alongside
Corey, knocking on doors and handing out flyers to
help build the business one customer at a time. From
those early days to the company we are today, Laddie’s
hard work, loyalty, knowledge, and commitment have
been part of our foundation.

Over the years, Laddie became much more than a
Master Electrician. He has been a trusted leader,
mentor, coworker, friend, and familiar face to countless
customers. His attention to detail, dedication to doing
the job right, and willingness to share his experience
have made a lasting impact on everyone who has had
the privilege of working with him.

It is hard to imagine Corey Sly Electrical Service
without Laddie, but we are excited for him as he begins
this well-earned new chapter. We hope retirement
brings plenty of relaxation, RV adventures, great
memories, and absolutely no service calls!

Thank you, Laddie, for 38 incredible years and for
helping build Corey Sly Electrical Service from the
ground up. You will be greatly missed, but the legacy
you leave behind will always be part of this company.

🚧 Safety 1st. 🚧

This morning, our team had the privilege of meeting with Ketha Molina from Texas811 to review the proper excavation process and the critical steps that must be taken before any digging begins.

Every excavation project—whether it’s installing electrical services, trenching for underground utilities, or setting poles—starts with one simple but essential step: contacting Texas 811. Taking the time to locate underground utility lines helps prevent service interruptions, property damage, costly repairs, and, most importantly, keeps everyone safe.

At Corey Sly Electrical Service, we believe ongoing training and education are key to providing safe, reliable service to our customers. We’re grateful to Ketha for sharing her expertise and helping our team stay informed on current excavation requirements and best practices.
