Behan Bros., Inc. General Contractor & Construction Manager Since our inception in 1973, Behan Bros.

has set a standard of excellence in general contracting and construction management. With past projects ranging from expansive luxury homes to large and technically demanding commercial structures, owners and architects rely on us for our quality service and results. As a family owned business, we manage each project with a specialized team of individuals- meaning we employ, not sub-contract, industry specialists who share our passion for quality. Through this approach, we provide pace of mind by meeting time, budget and technical specification requirements.

The difference is in the details.

The way two materials meet. The precision of a custom-built feature. The architectural elements that create continuity from one room to the next.

These are the details that often go unnoticed individually, yet together shape the character and quality of a home.

For us, exceptional craftsmanship isn’t reserved for the grandest features. It’s a standard carried through every stage of construction.

The best homes have a way of making everyday moments feel a little more special.

A quiet morning with nowhere to rush. A kitchen filled with family and conversation. A favorite room to retreat to at the end of the day.

Beyond the architecture, materials, and craftsmanship, these are the moments that give a home its meaning.

And ultimately, they’re what we’re building for.

Happiness is…waking up to this.

For this Jamestown renovation, the primary suite was designed around light, views, and a quieter approach to coastal living. Water views set the backdrop, while soft green cabinetry, natural stone, and a beautifully tiled shower bring a sense of calm throughout.

A private retreat that feels entirely at home by the coast.

Designed to stand apart, crafted down to the smallest detail.

From the sweeping rooflines and hand-cut, pre-patinated copper shingles to the arched doors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and serpentine stone pathway, the Welcome Center at The Breakers is defined by details that are anything but ordinary.

Projects like this hold a special place in our portfolio. The opportunity to bring our craftsmanship to spaces so closely tied to Newport’s architectural landscape—and to the community we call home—is something we’re always proud to be part of.

Soaking up the last weekend of summer, one pool day at a time. ☀️

Designed to make summer living effortless, this coastal guest house and pool house move easily from afternoons by the water to evenings spent gathering outside. Thoughtful landscaping, inviting outdoor spaces and seamless indoor-outdoor connections make it the kind of place where there’s never much reason to rush.
