Today is our 2nd wedding anniversary 💗

For anyone that’s been following us for a while, you’ll know that growing some flowers for our wedding was one of the muses behind Muse Gardens!

We’ve accomplished so much in together in the last two years. We’ve always been a great team, but farming and growing a business has reinforced how much we’re capable of when we work together!

With every seed planted, our love continues to bloom 💐

A bird’s-eye view of Muse Gardens ✨

Unbeknownst to us, an aerial photographer snapped this shot of our flower farm in October! This happened to be on the final harvest day of our first ever growing season, making the image extra special 💗

When your hands are in the dirt and you’re managing the farm day to day, it can be hard to zoom out and really appreciate the scale of what we’re doing!!

Grateful to be the stewards of this land and to have the opportunity to both live and farm here!

Northeast Ohio and Middlefield, in particular truly are beautiful in the fall!

The Canvas ⬜️➡️ The Artist 🧑🏻‍🎨🎨➡️ The Art 🖼️

Our hard work preparing the large crop field for Spring/Summer planting is done and that feels like a sign that the season is here!

This field is home to the majority of our floral annuals, which we start in our grow room before planting them into four 300ft long by 6ft wide rows. This space has been doubled in size for 2026 and we’ll be planting over double the amount of plants here as well! We can’t wait to show you this space again after everything has been planted 🌱

Even when it storms, the sun always returns 🌅

Good morning from Muse Gardens! Enjoy the sunrise and sound of the birds with us ❤️

The hail storm that rocked Northeast Ohio yesterday 4/15 was no joke 😥

Our flower farm took a real beating with most of our gravel driveway washing out, our roof taking a beating, and the majority of our unbloomed spring crop gone.

We’ve never experience a storm quite like this!

Mother Nature teaches us tough lessons about resiliency every year. We’ll repair our cars, roof, and driveway and start planting the summer crop soon. We also still have plenty of beautiful tulips that we’ll be selling which were harvested prior to the storm 🌷

Lucky to be safe and able to deal with the damage and look forward to the rest of the growing season with our seedlings that were tucked away safely inside during the storm!

It’s tulip time on the farm 🌷

Tulips are an exercise in planning and patience when the bulbs are planted in fall for the long wait until Spring. But once they arrive they put on a real show!

This is our first year growing Tulips at Muse Gardens and it’s safe to say we’re already hooked 💐

We are seeing the first wave of blooms from:
-La Belle Epoque
-Gudoshnik Double
-Rasta Parrot
-Cremé Upstar
-Drumline

With even more varieties set to bloom soon!

For our florist friends, the first few bunches will be available at the NEO Cut Flower Collaboration popup tomorrow, and the rest will be available for pre-order next week 🙌🏻

The seedlings are happy 🌱☺️

In January, we started our first round of seeds in the grow room and now we’re up to 2,500+ seedlings actively growing under the lights!

Our set up has grown quite a bit this year to include more lights and a new grow rack, allowing even more seeds to be started at one time.

Here is what we have growing so far:
-Lupines
-Snapdragons
-Campanula
-Dianthus
-Statice
-Rosemary

In the coming weeks, we’ll set up our low tunnel greenhouse outside and move these seedlings underneath to make way for a new round of seedlings in the grow room. To ensure we have flowers available for the entire growing season, succession planting is key💐

With our seedlings happily growing and the tulips outside beginning to emerge from the soil, we’re getting excited for Spring!

While we rest, crop plan, and start seeds this winter we can’t help but dream of Spring!
