Light changes everything!

Natural daylight, warm bulbs, cool LEDs, and even nearby surfaces can shift how a cabinet finish appears throughout the day.

That’s why it’s important to view samples in your actual space and under different lighting, before choosing your final color.

Light doesn’t just illuminate color; it transforms it.

🦃 Does Your Kitchen Pass the Holiday Kitchen Test?

Thanksgiving has a way of putting your kitchen layout to the test!
Imagine four people in your kitchen at once. Someone’s cooking. Someone’s prepping. Someone’s opening the refrigerator. Someone else is loading the dishwasher.
Now ask yourself:

🍽️ Can people move around without getting in each other’s way?
🚪 Can the refrigerator and dishwasher open without blocking traffic?
🥘 Is there enough room to prep AND serve food?
👨‍🍳 Can someone cook without everyone walking through their workspace?

If the answer is “not really,” you may not need a bigger kitchen—you may just need a better layout.

At Van Boxel Kitchen & Flooring, we design kitchens around how you actually live, cook, entertain, and gather.

Better layout. Less stress. More time together.

✨ Pretty vs. Practical: Your kitchen should be BOTH.

Some kitchen features look incredible in photos but how will they actually work when you're cooking, cleaning, entertaining, and living in the space every day?

Open shelving, giant islands, dark glossy finishes, tiny pendant lights, and oversized farmhouse sinks can all be beautiful choices. The key is understanding the trade-offs before you commit.

At Van Boxel Kitchen & Flooring, our designers help you look beyond the showroom and think about how your kitchen will actually function for you.

Because great kitchen design isn't about choosing between pretty and practical.
It's about getting both.
