Today was about more than completing a construction project. It was about handing a homeowner the keys to a safe, completed home and marking the beginning of a new chapter.

Through the Clay County SHIP Program, Assist2Build was proud to help deliver this home and see the project through from construction to final turnover.

Our Senior Project Manager, Silverly May, had the honor of being present for this special milestone and personally handing the keys over to the homeowner.

Moments like this are a reminder of why housing programs matter. Behind every set of plans, inspections, schedules, and construction milestones is a homeowner waiting for the day they can finally walk through the door and call it home.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support Clay County and its residents through the SHIP Program, and we are proud of the team and partners who helped bring this project to completion.

🏗️ Did someone say… skyscraper???

This MHU is sitting approximately 9 feet in the air, and while it may not be breaking any skyline records, it definitely gives “elevated construction” a whole new meaning for Manufactured Housing.

In disaster recovery, every site comes with its own challenges, and sometimes the solution is simply to go up.

From foundation work and elevated installations to the final set, projects like this are a good reminder that rebuilding isn’t always one-size-fits-all.

We are excited to be so close to the finish line for this homeowner to move back home!

For Assist2Build, successful disaster recovery construction starts well before the first hammer swings.

These photos capture members of our team in the field conducting Initial Site Visits, meeting with homeowners, evaluating existing conditions, identifying construction needs, and working to finalize the scopes of work that will guide each family's recovery project.

This stage of the process is critical. A thorough site evaluation and properly developed scope help ensure that the work ahead addresses the home's actual needs, supports program requirements, and gives our construction teams a clear path forward as these projects prepare to move into construction.

We are proud to recognize Silverly May, Senior Project Manager, and Greg Combs, Production and Quality Control Coordinator, pictured here representing Assist2Build in the field. Their experience, attention to detail, and commitment to the homeowner experience are an important part of making sure each project starts on the right foundation.

We appreciate Sarasota County, Resilient SRQ, DSW Homes, and the program partners and stakeholders working alongside us as these homeowners move closer to the start of their recovery construction.

For these families, the rebuilding may not have started yet, but the work required to get it right is already underway.

We know… it’s been a little quiet around here lately. 😅

But I promise, we haven’t disappeared. We’ve just been BUSY. Instead of trying to catch everyone up one project, one jobsite, and one update at a time, we figured a good old-fashioned photo dump might tell the story a little better.

From active construction and project progress to new starts, inspections, installations, and everything happening behind the scenes, our team has been moving nonstop lately.

And while social media may have taken a back seat for little bit, the work definitely hasn’t.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming another disaster-impacted homeowner into their brand-new replacement home.

For families recovering from a disaster, returning home represents far more than the completion of construction. It marks the restoration of safety, stability, and a place to begin moving forward.

From demolition to key release, our team completed this mobile home replacement in just 35 days. This milestone reflects the coordination, accountability, and commitment required to successfully deliver CDBG-DR housing recovery projects.

Congratulations to our entire team, and most importantly, welcome home to this well deserving homeowner!

Yesterday was a very accomplishing day. Assist2Build Construction was able to deliver & install ANOTHER / in Sarasota, Florida. As you can see the weather was not working in our favor yesterday, but a little rain could not stop us 💪

Yesterday in Venice, Florida, our team completed the demolition of an existing manufactured home, officially beginning the next chapter in this homeowner’s recovery.

The rain showed up, but it did not slow the team down. By the time the work was wrapping up, a rainbow had formed over the site. We are taking that as a good sign for the homeowner and for everything that comes next.

For her, this was not just a demolition. It was the first visible step toward replacing what was lost and moving closer to a safe, permanent home.

There is still work ahead, but yesterday mattered. The old structure is gone, the site is moving forward, and the rebuilding process is officially underway.
