Project: AU NATURALE

Layering warm whites, textured wallcoverings and fluid silhouettes keeps the primary bedroom and desk space feeling light, while the bath takes on a more architectural expression with dramatically veined marble wrapping the floors, walls and shower. Brass fixtures and pale wood cabinetry bring warmth to the stone, carrying the balance of softer and more structured materials from one space into the next.

Project: AU NATURALE

Moving through the dining room, entry and into the living room, the material palette takes on a softer feel. Textured upholstery, sheer drapery and curved silhouettes temper the home’s clean architectural lines, while moments of brass tie in the warmth and contrast.

The bar became an opportunity to play with detail. The intention here was for it to feel connected to the surrounding living spaces, while still having a character of its own. The fluted woodwork became the starting point, with Calacatta marble and subtle brass details layered in to create contrast and break up the warmth of the wood. Concealing the wine storage and integrating the shelving allowed us to keep the more functional elements tucked into the design, while the brass inlay carries beyond the bar and creates a subtle connection to the spaces around it.
