Why do some remodels drag on forever? 🤔

It’s almost never the “building” part. It’s the planning that didn’t happen before the building started. Here’s what actually causes the delays 👇

📦 Materials ordered too late. Tile, cabinets, and custom pieces have real lead times, if they’re not ordered early, everyone waits
🔀 No coordination between trades. When the electrician, plumber, and tile guy aren’t scheduled around each other, one no-show stalls everything
📝 Vague or changing plans. Every “wait, can we move this?” mid-build costs days, not minutes
🧱 Hidden surprises with no buffer. Old plumbing or bad framing WILL show up, a good contractor plans time and budget for it

This meeting right here? It’s how we prevent all of that. Nail the plan up front, order early, coordinate the crew, and your remodel actually finishes when we say it will. 💪

🧽 Almost zero upkeep. No refinishing, no special cleaners, just mop and go
💰 Costs less long-term. Real wood you’ll eventually refinish or replace, this you won’t

The tradeoff? It’s cooler and harder underfoot than wood, and a quality install matters (leveling, thinset, layout all have to be right). But for looks + durability, it’s tough to beat. 💪

Then came the surprise pipe, the backordered tile, the “wait, that wall is load-bearing” moment… and suddenly it’s stressy depressy lemon zesty. 😅

Monday: total demo chaos. Tuesday: a marble bathroom that belongs in a magazine. Wednesday: back to bare concrete. Thursday: walls open to the studs. It’s not a straight line, it’s controlled chaos. 🌀

And that’s the part people don’t expect: a remodel doesn’t move room-by-room in order. Multiple stages run at once, demo here, finishes there, rough-ins in between. 🛠️

Looks messy from the outside. But every one of those “days” is a planned step moving your project toward the finish. 💪
