“Anyone for Chamomile Tea?”

Here’s another first for me, wild growing Chamomile. I’d never seen it before, but was lucky that Emma had noticed it a few days ago, whilst she was walking Boy and Luca locally. I had gone out to get some photos on the day that she first noticed it, but it had been raining and the flowers were not looking their best, also it was still overcast, so images were a bit dark.
Today, I was at an Arts and Crafts workshop, it’s something that I’ve started to do on Fridays. Emma had gone back with the dogs to where she had seen the Chamomile. She sent me an image that she took on her phone, which was enough for me to finish the Arts and Crafts workshop an hour early, in order to dash home, grab my camera and try to get some decent photos of my own, whilst the sun was still shining.
As I headed down towards the area, close the riverbank, I treated myself to some blackberries that were perfect for picking and eating, there was an abundance of them, which means I’ll go back there tomorrow and pick lots, in the hope that Emma will bake a blackberry pie 🤞😊
As I continued to walk along the country track, my eyes were treated to Green Veined White Butterflies, flying, yet dancing in the blue sky which was host to little fluffy white clouds, just magical and exactly what I expect to see in the summer, we’ve waited a long time for summer and sadly in a few weeks, it’ll be over.
Anyhow back to the Chamomile, as I approach the grassy area where just one Chamomile plant was growing, from a distance the flowers already look better than my last visit and there were more of those flowers in bloom. Similar looking to a Daisy but with a dome shaped centre, these flowers really do catch the sun.
I laid down on my front and started looking through the lens of my camera, working out composition and light, I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to factor in both of these things. I also like a soft blur backdrop, to give a dreamy look to the photo. After around an hour of laying on my front and experimenting, I was happy that from the 70-80 photos taken, I’d get a few that I felt happy with. I’m my own worst critic sometimes.

So here is one of my favourites captured today just a couple of hours ago, some more can be seen in the comments section.

As far as Chamomile tea goes, I’m 53 years young and have never tried it. I understand that it has many health benefits. I’m tempted to buy some, simply to taste it. Have you ever tried it and what’s your thoughts on it??

I saw and photographed another first today, which got me very excited, I’ll reveal all tomorrow as I need to go through the images that I took.

Wishing you all a relaxing weekend 😊😊🌼🌼
