SaveArtSpace is proud to present As Above, So Below, a public art exhibition on bus shelter ad space during Miami Art Week in Miami, FL, opening November 27, 2026, curated by Marlon Pruz. As Above, So Below explores the idea that the patterns of the universe are reflected within us, and that the inner world is inseparable from the outer one. The theme considers the relationship between the cosmic to the earthly and the microscopic to the infinite. Similar to how electrons orbiting an atomic nucleus mimics the planets orbiting the sun, the golden ratio and other recurring patterns found throughout nature further suggest an underlying order connecting all forms of life. "As curator, I will be looking for work that creates a strong visual or conceptual dialogue between these realms, imagery that connects the body to nature, humanity to the cosmos, consciousness to environment, and the intimate to the infinite." —Marlon Pruz. Artists of all ages and talents are invited to submit their artwork between September 23 and October 19, 2026 in order to be considered for the exhibition. This is an opportunity to have your work placed on bus shelter ad space in Miami, FL, during the biggest art event of the year.

While artists, galleries, museums, and international art fairs have played essential roles, a powerful network of collectors helped transform the city’s cultural landscape. Through visionary acquisitions, philanthropic efforts, and the creation of public-facing institutions, these private collections have preserved artistic legacies while introducing Miami audiences to some of the most important voices in contemporary art. Featuring the influential collections and cultural legacies of Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz of the de la Cruz Collection, Mera and Don Rubell of the Rubell Museum, Jorge M. Pérez and his philanthropic contributions to Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and El Espacio 23, Martin Z. Margulies of The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse, Ella Fontanals-Cisneros and the CIFO - The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, and Norman and Irma Braman. In Little Haiti and Little River, contemporary art is unfolding within a much broader cultural landscape—one shaped by Haitian and Caribbean heritage, independent artists, galleries, studios, photography organizations, music, food, design and community. The result is a neighborhood experience that feels less like a traditional art district and more like a living cultural ecosystem, where contemporary creative practice exists alongside longstanding traditions and local businesses. --> Renowned Autistic Artist Vito Bonanno’s Artwork in the Corporate Collections of AMAZON and Google. Internationally collected artist Vito Bonanno taps into the daily emotional and social challenges of living with autism, placing his innermost feelings onto canvas. The New England-based artist's work is image and concept-driven and embedded in his personal philosophy. His art contains the essence of his life, feelings, thoughts, and dreams, coupled with objects or topics that "get stuck in his head", including traffic lights, grids, ceiling fans, graffiti, and pop culture. Corporate clients include AMAZON, Google, and The Hartford. Bonanno was diagnosed with PDD/Autism just before his 4th birthday. Because he was language delayed, his parents and teachers developed strategies that tapped into his high visual acuity, utilizing storyboard styles to relay academic and social information. He was also encouraged to draw in storyboard format to express his feelings. The storyboard grid remains prominent in his work and studio preparation today and is a poignant reminder of a boy who was trapped in his own mind. --> Must-See exhibitions at The Frank Pembroke Pines, the gallery presents two exhibition projects: Hyphenated Encounters, a collaborative presentation with The Deering Estate featuring the work of Cuban American artist Lilian Garcia-Roig, and Discord and Serenity, curated by RemiJin Camping and featuring works by Barry University MFA students Joy Johnson and Bruna Marcon Weber. Hyphenated Encounters brings together two interconnected curatorial projects—Lilian Garcia-Roig: A Practice of Place, curated by Sophie Bonet, Chief Curator of The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery, and Deering Estate Residency: Lilian Garcia-Roig, Site, and the Labor of Belonging, curated by Liliam Dominguez, PhD., Head Curator of Deering Estate. Together, these presentations offer audiences an expansive exploration of place, identity, memory, perception, and the complex inner and outer worlds explored through contemporary art. The Frank is located at 601 City Center Way in the City of Pembroke Pines, Florida 33025. Opening that evening, Hyphenated Encounters brings together two interconnected curatorial projects presented in collaboration with Deering Estate, while Discord and Serenity will be presented separately in The Frank Third Space. --> 'NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale: A Cultural Anchor Shaping South Florida’s Art Landscape'. NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale has long served as an important cultural anchor in South Florida, bringing research-driven exhibitions, significant collections, and inspiring programs to the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. Situated midway between Miami and Palm Beach, the museum occupies an 83,000-square-foot modernist building designed by architect Edward Larrabee Barnes that opened in 1986. Today, its collections encompass contemporary art, Latin American art, photography, the work of American realist William Glackens, and one of the most significant U.S. museum collections associated with the European CoBrA group. The museum is also the permanent home of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Surrounded Islands documentation exhibition, preserving the history of the landmark 1983 public art project created in Miami’s Biscayne Bay. —> The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts invites art lovers, collectors, and the Miami community to experience Brushes With Cancer, a program of Twist Out Cancer that pairs artists with people whose lives have been touched by cancer, including previvors, survivors and caregivers. Together, they create powerful works of art inspired by each person’s unique story and journey. All are invited to enjoy the Opening Reception of Brushes With Cancer, with a special art viewing and silent auction on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 6pm, featuring original works of art created through this transformative program in the Knight Concert Hall Lobby. This event is free and open to the public. The Brushes With Cancer program is an artistic celebration that pairs accomplished artists with “inspirations,” people whose lives have been impacted by cancer as previvors, current patients, survivors or caregivers. The artists bring to life the inspirations’ twist on cancer — stories, feelings and experiences — with works of art that represent the inspirations’ personal journey with the disease. --> First U.S. Museum Solo Exhibition for Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe Debuts in November at Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami), a Joint Presentation with the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain. The landmark exhibition explores more than 25 years of the Venezuelan artist’s expressions of Indigenous Amazonia, including new site-specific commissions. The first solo U.S. museum exhibition by artist Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe (b. 1971, Sheroana, Venezuela) opens this November at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami), ahead of Miami Art Week. Opening November 19, Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe is co-curated by Gean Moreno, Director of the Art + Research Center at ICA Miami, and Michela Alessandrini, Curator at the Fondation Cartier. The exhibition reflects the two institutions’ shared commitment to representing the significance of human relationships to the environment in their programs.
